Sixteen

Jungkook was sitting in his office reviewing all the three projects before he has to forward it to Lisa, Hoseok and Jin.

He is at it for almost three hours now and it was almost lunch time when he hear a knock on his door.

"Come in." He says still focused on the last part of the second project. It will take whole day to review it fully.

"Are you busy? I am so sorry I'll come by later on Jungkook ssi." Jungkook hear Jimin's voice and immediately stop the project to look at him. He is dressed in a cream turtleneck sweater and black skinny jeans looking like a model rather than fashion designer.

"I'm not busy. What happened? Is there anything I can help you with?" Jungkook asked clearing his throat to intone his voice to professional level. They needed this, the boundary between them.

"Actually I know I'm still a new employee here but I just wanted to use my holidays this month. Is it possible?" Jimin's voice was uncertain and Jungkook didn't like it. Ofcourse Jimin can use his holidays. Any employee at GCF can utilise their 24 days off in a year whenever they need it. They can use it in one go or utilise it every month, it depends on them. No questions asked. The HR team managed it all and the survey always told Jungkook that it helped the employees to feel comfortable at working with GCF.

"Sure Jimin ssi. It's your holiday. You can take it whenever you want. You'll just have to put an email to the HR team and they'll approve it within 48 hours." Jungkook says and Jimin nods with a smile.

"Thank you Jungkook ssi." He says. "I'll leave you to your work now." He walks out of the door and closes it Jungkook shaking his head and focusing on the project.

He was curious as to why Jimin needs his holiday but decide against it because it shouldn't matter to him. It doesn't matter to him. Jimin is just another employee and Jungkook doesn't need to know the reason of his holidays. He has a good HR team to take care of that.

So for the next two and a half hours, Jungkook focused on the project and by the time the clock hits five, he was done reviewing all the files and sending it to the respective persons.

It took him another one hour to complete the outline of the fashion fest that will be held in March. He's not sure what the theme will be but he's thinking the idea to be somewhat related to the first year GCF conducted it.

He will discuss it with the team at the next meeting. For now his work time was over. He tend to work more hours but since Nancy is at home he'll atleast try to maintain work life balance.

So around seven pm in the evening he leaves his office to go back home and cook a dinner alongside his wife and then they'll plan the upcoming trip to Paris. Nancy is excited and Jungkook wants his best to indulge in it.

He also decide to buy Nancy's favourite ice cream and surprise her. She loves mint chocolate and even after years, Jungkook doesn't know what to think of it. Because God forbid, Jungkook always go at the verge of dying at the sight of it. But since it's been years with Nancy, he stops himself from cursing whoever invented this shit of a flavor.

It takes him half an hour to reach his house thanks to the trafic. He'll have to call his maid and assign one particular day every week for the cleaning of his penthouse since he won't be going there until Nancy leaves for another trip.

"Guk!" Nancy opens the door and throws herself in Jungkook's arm which makes Jungkook laugh. "I missed you so much!"

"I was gone for just ten hours." He says kissing her head and smiling at her content sigh in his arms.

"Ten hours is too much!" She mumbles her face still snuggling in Jungkook's chest.

"Is it? Because last time I remember, you were gone for almost three months and I didn't complain." Jungkook says jokingly to his wife who looks at him with apologetic eyes.
