While working on the file and failing at it, Jimin decides that he needs to meet Yoongi. He cannot face Eunwoo with the guilt that is brewing inside him. It is not fair to Eunwoo. He has done nothing wrong in this.
As much as Lisa has tried to advise Jimin of good and bad, Jimin needs to hear the bitter truth from his best friend and Jimin knows that no matter how harsh it will be, Yoongi will tell him the correct thing. He'll not leave all the decisions on Jimin. He'll make sure to guide him to the right path. He cannot just keep stringing along Eunwoo like this. Jimin will not let Eunwoo be the victim to his own fucked up feelings.
By the time his office hours ended, he managed to finish one fourth of the file and decide he'll do the rest in the next three days.
He's not brought his car today because Eunwoo requested to drop him to work after the rough night Jimin had gone through and Jimin's mind was so out of his control that he decided to accept it.
He'll have to take a cab to go to Yoongi's. His best friend must be already waiting for him at home because Jimin had texted him during lunch about the emergency.
He shuts down his laptop and prints a copy of the already covered part of the report to carry with him to highlight some key points for the upcoming event. He hurries to the elevator as he's already one hour late to leave the office.
When the elevator comes down from the higher floors and opens up, Jimin thinks of running back to his office again because he really is not ready to look at Jungkook. But if he does, it will be look highly unprofessional and rude. So he takes a deep breath and slides inside the elevator. To distract him and calm down his sped up heart rate, he reaches out to push the button to the lowest floor but the light is already blinking so he pulls away his hand.
"You were working late?" Jungkook's voice reaches Jimin's ear and he curse himself for flinching like someone's attacking him.
He nods. "Yes. Was going through the report." He says clutching his bag hard enough that he's sure it will leave a mark.
"We've one week to finish it. Don't overdo yourself." Jungkook says and Jimin can feel his eyes on the side of his face. "You look exhausted."
"I couldn't sleep last night." Jimin explains.
There's a silence for a few seconds and a puff of exhale before Jungkook replies. "Me too."
Jimin decides not to speak anything but it seems like Jungkook wants to do just the opposite.
"How was your trip?"
Jimin finally looks at Jungkook and finds him already staring in his direction. He's not sure why this elevator is not moving fast? Or is it just the time that is going slow? He nods six like a clown before replying. "It was great! I really loved Paris."
Jungkook chuckles softly, pulling Jimin's attention. "I know you did." He's beautiful. He looks tired, his face not holding their usual color but he's beautiful nonetheless.
"Did you enjoy Paris?" Jimin asks looking at him with curiosity. It's only natural to ask the same, isn't it?
"I've been to Paris multiple times Jimin. It wasn't anything new." Jungkook replies, but then he looks straight in Jimin's eyes and says, "I liked the evening when I was drunk."
Jimin's eyes go wide. Does he remember what he said? Jimin gulps and coughs couple of times to clear his throat. "Why?" He asks, not sure of he wants to hear the answer for it.
He finds him staring and their is this expression on Jungkook's face that is stirring something inside of Jimin. Something that Jimin knows is wrong but feels oh so right! But then it is gone in the blink of an eye. A mask taking over the rawness of those stare.
