"𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐋," 𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐃, 𝐀 𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐋 smile appeared on her face as she started imagining Chernabog's reaction when she brought him the wand instead of his child.

Y/N's eyes widened as she looked over at Mal. She always knew that Mal was impulsive, that she would do things without another thought; just like her mother. She remembered how her father used to rage about how impulsive Maleficent was back in her youth, how he blamed her for being on this island in the first place because she went against his orders. This was Mal's downfall, it was also her mother's. If she didn't get this little habit of hers under control then she was going to drag all of them down.

Chernabog leaned back in his chair, an evil smirk appearing on his lips. "Fail to succeed and the consequences will be..." he paused as he looked directly at Y/N. "Severe," his eyes flashed yellow before he looked over at the rest of the teens, "For all of you."

"What?" Mal froze as she heard the 'terms' to the challenge. She looked over at her mother, her eyes full of the feeling of injustice. "Mom-"

Maleficent cut her off by pretending to squish Mal's lips shut. She didn't want Mal to risk ruining her chances with Chernabog or destroying her reputation with her master. She didn't want him to think that she raised a complainer or someone who acted like a child when things didn't seem fair or didn't go their way in situations.

Chernabog raised an eyebrow at the purple-haired girl, her attitude reminded himself of his own daughter's. Of course, Y/N's attitude was much worse than Mal's; Mal was at least obedient to the older man while Y/N wasn't.

Y/N looked back at her friends. She knew that they didn't want to go or want anything to do with this. If Mal hadn't agreed right away then she probably could've gotten them out of this situation out of spite against her father but of course, Mal had to let her pride get in the way, like always. This wasn't fair to Jay, Evie and Carlos, but then again, when do villains ever play fair in anything? On this island, only the strong survived and if you weren't the strongest, well then you probably weren't going to survive. Y/N learned to adapt and survive at a young age and she also learned how to challenge him without causing an uproar within the older man or making him angrier.

She took a deep breath and stared her father in the eyes, catching his attention. Once she knew she was ready her eyes turned a bright yellow colour. A smirk appeared on Chernabog's face as he cocked an eyebrow at the younger girl. His eyes glowed yellow as well as he leaned toward her, accepting her challenge.

Y/N stared at her father, a small frown on her face as her breathing seemed to have picked up. Her father stared calmly at her, almost as if he was bored of her childish antics. He tilted his head to the side slightly as a smirk spread across his lips. His eyes started glowing brighter as the seconds ticked by between their staring contest. Y/N started to feel her eyes burn with every little millisecond that went by. Tears started to fill the brim of her eyes as the burning sensation continued to grow. She didn't know how much longer she could hold this without blinking. Her face started to scrunch and her eyes started to close, the brim of her eyes and her eyelids acting like magnets desperately trying to connect.

And then, it happened; she blinked.

Y/N groaned as her eyes faded back to their E/C colour and quickly blinked, trying to chase away the burning sensation she felt. She turned away from her father when she saw him do a single blink, allowing his glowing yellow eyes to return to their human form colour.
