"Mount Glenn, are you absolutely sure?"

"Positive, whatever twisted games Bargaining has going on being cooked up there."

"This sounds like a trap to me, Oz. Can we really trust the words of our enemy?"

"All the more reason to go," I argue. "I've known Bargaining for a long time; he loves being the centre of attention and is just one manipulative son of a bitch. He wouldn't tell me his plan without reason. He wants me to go. I must end this once and for all; you can't stop me."

"We're well aware of that. That's why we've already booked your team for a simple recon mission tomorrow evening. You'll be accompanied by one of our teachers and Hunstman to make sure everything goes according to plan."

"You're seriously not listening, are you Ozpin? You cannot plan around Bargaining; he is unpredictable, chaotic and batshit insane. He'll do just about anything to achieve his goal, and if he's working with the White Fang, all the more reason for me to go alone."

"I do not underestimate your abilities, Y/N. I am more than certain you can defeat this Stage of Grief alone, but I cannot put that burden on you and you alone. Moreover, you still haven't fully recovered from your mental breakdown. If another happened during the mission, you would most certainly perish or succumb to your grief. Having your team will be a failsafe in case anything goes wrong. I will not argue any further with this; this is my wish if you are to go on this mission. Do you understand?"

Staring at Ozpin, I sighed, standing up. "Yeah, hearing you loud and clear, boss man."

The train was roaring full speed ahead, passing through the last tunnel, dusk settling. Our destination of Mount Glenn and the abandoned city surrounding the large mountain was in the not-so-far-off distance. "Ahh, good, we arrived just on time. I'm sure with your prowess and wit; we can flush out our enemy in no time flat?" Oobleck stated, sipping his coffee. "I can tell something is on your mind; come on, spit it out. That is why I'm here?"

Standing up, I patted myself down, calling my glaive from thin air. Then, glancing at team RWBY, I shook my head. "It's nothing. Let's get this over and done with."

I should have expected it somewhat, but I was accounting for the large gathering of Grimm in the area. I hadn't had to come face to face with these monsters for a while. Ever since I got my job at Beacon, I had little to no reason to venture outside the city. I forgot just how much these fuckers stink.

It wouldn't be long before we quickly rid the broader area of any Grimm, allowing us to set up camp all before the sun fully set. I watched the girls set up camp while I kept watch, feeling off about the whole thing.

Oobleck walked up, nodding to himself. "Well done for today, Y/N; I'm more than certain our campsite is safe from any Grimm attacks now. I can take the first watch if you'd like?"

"This is all happening too fast," I whisper, holding my head. "Something doesn't feel right here."

"You're the expert here. If something isn't right, give the order, and we will retreat at once."

I stared out into the dead city, curling my hands together. "My past is still fuzzy, and that's putting it kindly. But what I do remember about Bargaining was that he always has been a sly motherfucker. He would never go into anything without a plan; he led people to believe he was one step ahead when he was serval more. I've been going into this too hasty without reason or logic."

"You're scared of him; I can see that." Oobleck pointed out, nodding. "I've read the report provided by Ozpin; someone with your calibre can make quick work on any foe. So, if you say it is true, we should tread lightly."
