"What do you mean I'm in another world? I'm going to need mo-." I sigh, glancing over the script, slightly conflicted. "This is the best the author could come up with? He cuts our story short in preparation for a Crossover with the other stories. I don't know about this one chief."

"Y/N! Y/N! Oi, Y/N!"

Taking my headphones out, I paused the RWBY soundtrack poking my head out of my Vanity Van and seeing Emerald holding a boom mic to my face and shouting. "The higher-ups want you!"

I look at the calendar, nodding away, wiping my hands down, and throwing my script away. I slam the door shut behind me, getting fresh air. "Bout time. It's been a year since our book was cancelled, and a quick ending was put together. Do the higher-ups have a new story for us? A reboot, ooh, a rewrite? Or are we actually going with that huge crossover with all the other stories?"

Emerald adjusted her boom, hitting me over the head, annoyed. "How am I meant to know? I wasn't even included in your story."

"Oh yeah, you weren't, were you? To be fair, neither was Sun or the other guy. I'mma be honest, I don't remember his name." I point out, skipping along and heading for the main office to go over the script again. I quickly picked back up. "I need your honest thoughts on this Emerald; I just don't think a Crossover with these many books is going to work. I mean, we got Persona, which could work, and MHA, again, which can work. But then we got Genshin Impact? Pokemon... Spider-Man and, umm, Redacted? What's Redacted?"

"Oh, I heard that's a story the writers haven't got published yet."

"Of course they don't. I swear this guy is already jumping at the opportunity to get quick and easy reads. Like seriously, did you read that CyberPunk Story? Not an original bone in that flick." I complain, grumbling. "Can't say we got much better. We got a semi-remake, which fell through near the end. Didn't our original story get like five books?"

"It's best not to think about it too much," she exclaims, swinging the boom mic around again. This time, I managed to avoid it as I made it to the higher-up's office. "Welp, this is you. It's probably an announcement that your story is getting a remaster. You know, with grammar and spelling improvements, maybe there will be a better fight scene here and there. Pray for the moon; you might get that cut crime syndicate arc with Neo."

"Ha, now someone is desperate." I scoff, leaning against the door and entering to find the whole gang of RWBY sitting by as I make my presence known. "If it isn't my fa- Second... Third... If it isn't Ruby, have no fear the OC is here."

"Fashionably late as always, Y/N; how did we even finish this book again?"

"It beats me, but after a year off, I'm ready for the next step. So, what have we got? A sequel? A follow-up? Or are we doing another story completely separate from this one? Who am I playing this time? A Guardian defending the Last City, a Time Traveller in a blue box? I'm hoping I can do something with DC; technically, DC owns that, so it could be somewhat canon."

"Who wants to tell him?" Weiss grumbles.

"Tell me what?"

"We're being cancelled!" Ruby screams in panic. It's over! I'm finished. I'm going to be thrown on the street, begging for scraps while freezing to death. I'll... I'll have to share a box with the No Game No Life crew."

"Now that sounds like a Crossover... Wait, you're serious?"

"As serious as we get, Warner Brothers shut us down yesterday. Poof, 11 years of our show gone, reduced to atoms." Yang explained, rubbing her fingers together.

"Hey, the Marvel Crossover, I remember that one. You were the winter soldier, and we had to face off against Thanos!"

"Don't remind us of that shitty story, please," Blake grumbled. "This isn't a joke, Y/N; we've been thrown out."
