Sorry in advance I know I almost cried writing this chapter

Will's Point

When I was younger I had hurt myself after something tomatic had happened. In order to make sure I didn't do anything again my therapist suggested that I share my location with someone on Google so that I was never actually alone. I hated the idea until my mom shared her location with me and said this way we both know where each other is in case of a emergency. It made me feel better and made it feel less about me and more about family and right now I was glad We had done it because it had been over 30 minutes but Google showed that she was at a grocery store that was 11 minutes away.
She had called me once to ask a question but that was shortly after she left.
I was just getting ready to call her when a unknown number started to call me.

"Hello?" I asked

"Yes, is this Apollo Lester Solace?" Woman asked

"I'm sorry but my father is currently serving in the army" I said

"I take it Your...." The Woman said stopping for a moment like she was looking at something

"William Andrew Solace?" The Woman asked

"Yes? How do you know this? What is this about?" I asked

"We found your name on a picture in a wallet belonging to a Naomi Solace and your number was the last on her caller id" The Woman said

"What....why....why do you have my mother's phone?" I asked as tears started to form in my eyes.

"I'm sorry but your mother has been in a accident, it seems that a another car hit her as she was backing out of the parking lot and the drove off" The Woman said

"Is she ok!?" I asked fanatically

"She's being transported to a hospital right now" The Woman said

"What hospital?!" I yelled

"Elmhurst Hospital" The Woman said and the moment she told me I ran out. I get to the street and yelled for a taxi to stop.

"Where to?" The driver asked

I was about to tell him before some guy pushed me out of the way.

"Beat it kid" he said before getting in the taxi and the driver drove off.

"NO!" I yelled. I tried to call for another one but none would stop so I entered the name of the hospital into Google maps and started to run.

According to Google I would get there in a little over two hours, it wasn't fast enough and it would be exhausting but it was the only was I could get there I had be running for about 5 minutes not paying attention to anything around me when I ran into a crosswalk and a car honked startling me and making fall.

"Oh my goodness, are you alright?" A middle aged woman with dark hair asked as she got out of her car.

"I'm-I'm fine" I said as I stood up.

"Are you sure? Did you need me to take you to the hospital just in case?" She asked

"I'm actually trying to get there right now. Mom my she....she" I started but I couldn't bring myself finish

"Oh dear, get in I can get you there a lot faster then you can on foot" she said

"Thank you" I said as I got in her car. I didn't know why but I felt I could trust this woman.

As she got back in her car she pulled out her phone and called someone but they must not have picked up because she seemed to call someone else.

"Hey sweetheart, could you go to the house for me? I tried to call but no one answered, I'm going to the hospital to help someone so I won't be back right away okay?" The woman asked

"Sweetheart? Are you still there?" She asked before moving the phone from her ear to look at it.

"Oh dear, looks like me phone died...I hope he got all of that" she said.

"Are we heading to Elmhurst?" She asked me

"Yes, I tried to get a taxi but someone pushed me away" I said

"Seriously some people" she said shaking her head a little

"So....who were you calling?" I asked trying to think of something besides my mom but of course it wasn't working

"Well I tried to call my husband but he didn't answer so I called my son so that he could let them know that I'm not heading straight home" She said

"I'm sorry I'm being a brother" I said

"Oh no don't be. I'm the who almost hit you with my car so this is the last I can do" she said

We drove the rest of the way in silence and it took 30 minutes to get there but it was much better then 2 hours.

"Thank you so much" I said as I get out of her car then I immediately ran into the hospital and up to the front desk

"Naomi Solace?" I asked

"And what's your relation?" The man behind the desk asked

"She my mom, please tell me she alright" I said

"I'm sorry but it seems your mother is still in surgery" the man said

"Will?" Someone asked as they walked out from a door

"Kayla?" I ask

"What are you doing here?" Kayla asked

"My mother" I said as the tears started to fall

"Solace, oh Will I'm so sorry" Kayla said

"She okay right?" I asked as the woman who drove me walked in.

"I'm going to be honest, she took a pretty bad hit to her head, so far it seems like the surgery is going well but when it comes to a head injury you know we can never be sure until it done and she wakes up" Kayla said

"Why?" I asked as I broke down. I felt someone wrap their arms arm me and walk me over to one of the waiting chairs.
