Percy's Point
"You look like your moping" I said looking at Jason
"He hasn't text me in two days" Jason said
"Nico?" I asked
Yes, how I'm I suppose to know if he's okay if he doesn't text me?" Jason ranted
"I'm sure his fine" I said
"Like your not worried as well" Jason said
"He is like our little brother" I said
"He told me he would change my name to mom on his phone if I kept asking how he was" Jason said
"Sound like him" I said and then my phone rang.
"Hey mom" I said as I answered my phone.
"Hey sweetheart" mom said sounding worried
"could you go to the house for me? I tried to call but no one answered, I'm going to the hospital" mom said
"Why are you going to the hospital?" I asked but there was no response
"Mom?" I asked a little panicked. no response
"Mom?!" I yelled. no response
"I got to go" I told Jason
"What's wrong?" Jason asked seeing the concern on my face.
"My mom's heading to the hospital" I said
"Is she ok?" Jason asked
"I don't know, the call ended before she said why she was going there but she sounded really worried" I said
"Let me drive you then, it'll be safer with you not behind the wheel and panicked" Jason said.
I'm glad that I had let Jason drive when he offered because I couldn't calm down the entire way there. When we finally got there we both ran in and I saw my mom sitting in one of the waiting chairs.
"Mom! What's wrong are you okay?" I asked as I ran up to her
"I'm fine" Mom said with a slightly confused look
"You said you were getting to the hospital and then the call ended" I said
"I'm sorry, my phone died" Mom said and it was then that I noticed she was sitting next to someone and it looked like she was trying to comfort him.
"What happened?" Jason asked
"This young man was trying to run to the hospital when I almost hit him so I gave him a ride" Mom said
"Why were you running?" I asked
"Why did you rush here?" Mom asked to answer my question
"Oh man, I'm-Im sorry...are they ok?" I asked
"There now why to tell at the moment, doctors wouldn't know how bad or good it is until surgery's done" the man said sounding empty. The man had blonde hair and blue bloodshot eyes that were red and puffy from crying
"I'm sorry, you don't need to stay here" the man said looking up at me mom
"Wait.... Will?" I asked when I get a better look at his face
"You know him?" Jason asked
"Know him? he saved Annabeth's life, how could forgot him" I said
"I did?" Will asked before recognition showed in his eyes
"I remember you two, although that was a..." Will paused to think of a word.
"Horrible day?" I suggested
"To put it lightly" Will said
"You have got to fill me in here" Jason said and I took a deep sigh
"Years ago there was a big gang fight that broke out at my school, a lot of people died and Annabeth would have been one of them because she jumped in front of a knife for me but Will was able to bandage her so she didn't bleed out, I own him a him lot for that day" I said
"Where did you go after that?" I asked
"I was only there because my mother was on tour....my mother...." Will said looking up at the door all emergencies went in, his eyes filling with tears
"She's the one in there isn't she?" I asked softly and he nodded
"I'm sure she'll be fine" Mom said rubbing his back.
Me and Jason decided to stay until Will get news of his mom and I may or may not have gotten a phone call from a worried Paul because I had forgotten to tell him what was going on.
Will's Point
After 6 hours Kayla came back out to talk to me. Kayla was my half sister from my father's side who I had met back when I had come on tour with my mom.
"How is she? Did the surgery go well?" I asked
"Things are looking good so far but I'm afraid it's far from over...Please sit back down" Kayla said and I knew that meant this was very serious. I slowly sat back down
"When the car hit her she hit her head on the steering wheel and also broke her arm. We did a craniectomy and everything went well but she was under for so long that we'll have to wait to do the surgery on her arm" Kayla said
"But she's okay? Can I see her?" I asked
"She's okay but I'm afraid you can't see her until she's had her next surgery" Kayla said
"Now I hate to say this but it seems her insurance won't cover her surgerys because of some paperwork issues" Kayla said
"How much is the surgery?" I asked
"The craniectomy alone is 50,000 and that's not counting the anesthetics" Kayla said and I almost swallowed my tongue.
"I'm sure we can try and work things out somehow" Kayla said
"Unfortunately I may have a way" I said taking a deep sigh
"Let me make a phone call and I'll be right back" I said as I got up and walked just outside the door.
I grabbed the business card out of my pocket and called the number on it.
"Yes?" Came the voice of the driver
"Can I speak to your boss?" I asked
"He's not..." he said before his voice got muffled like her was covering the phone.
"Nevermind, it seems he can speak with you right now" he said
"Mr. Solace, glad you've reconsidered" the boss said
"How much?" I asked
"How much?" He asked
"How much is the pay?" I asked
"Starting pay is about 11,800" he said
"That's less then I made working two jobs back in Texas" I said
"Don't misunderstand, this is monthly not yearly" He said and I froze
"Of course if your good enough the pay will go up" He said
".....when do you want me to start?" I asked
"Come in tomorrow and we'll sign the paperwork
