Will's Point
It's felt nice being able to catch up with someone I honestly didn't think I would see again and it felt nice to be with a group of people that treated each other like family.
After a few moments of talking I noticed Nico still hadn't come back so I turned to see if he was alright.
Looking at him it looked like he was embarrassed with his face beat red and I had to admit I found it really cute and I hoped that he wasn't confessing to the girl I didn't know that was with him.
I saw the girl say something to Nico and then he turned and looked at me and I quickly looked away as my face heated up.
"You ok?" Percy asked
"Yeah...I'm-I'm fine" I said looking down at my lap.
"Are you sure? You look a little red" Percy said as he leaned to look at me.
"Yeah...I'm...I mean it's just warm outside" I said
"I guess it is a little warm out, do you need some water?" Percy asked
"Um....yeah...yeah water" I said and Percy got up and came back a moment later with a cup of water.
"Here" Percy said handing me the cup
"Thanks" I said taking the cup
"Is everything ok?" I heard Nico asked as he quickly seat back down and placed a hand on my upper leg making my jump a little.
"Yeah, I'm fine....I just needed some water" I said
"Sorry....I...I didn't mean to startle you" Nico said as he quickly removed his hand.
"It's fine" I said giving him a smile before I looked away
"So...what were you talking about?" I asked as I glanced back at him to see his face go red.
"You-You don't have to tell me if you don't want" I said quickly a little panicked that I had crossed the line
"I...I was...um...I was confessing" Nico said so quite that I almost didn't hear him
"Oh..." I said feeling my heart break a little
"So you like that other girl you were with?" I asked not actually wanting to know that question because I didn't want to feel the pain
"What!? No! Reyna's like a sister to me!" Nico yelled
"No, it was about something....else" Nico said as he calmed himself down since everyone had turned to look at him
"That's a relief" I thought
"Why? Do you have a crush on Nico?" Leo asked with smirk making me realize I had said that out loud
"What?.....I....I....um....I" I started to say but I was cut off my a man's voice
"Well, it looks like everyone's here so you may go get food" A man in wheelchair that I recognize from when I had gone to school here said and I told myself I would have to thank him later.
We all got up and grabbed food then we sat back in our seats.
"Is it good?" Annabeth asked as she leaned over to look past Percy and at me
"What?" I asked
"The cobbler" Annabeth said
"Oh, yeah" I said with a sad smile and Annabeth gave me a slightly confused look but didn't say anything and it made me grateful that she didn't want to pry so I decided to tell her what was on my mind.
"My mother used to make cobbler like this when I was a kid and sometimes she would even get fresh peaches to put in it" I said
"I'm sorry if I made you sad at all" Annabeth said
"No, it actually makes me really happy and it kinda feels like my mom's here right now" I said
"I'm glad. When Percy had told me that you were here I wanted to make something that helped you feel at home so I looked up some food people normally have in Texas" Annabeth said
"You didn't have to do all of that just for me" I said
"It's the least I can do after what you've done for me" Annabeth said with a smile
"So wait, I'm confused" Percy said looking deep in thought
"What?" Annabeth asked
"I'm pretty sure Will said he didn't like peaches" Percy said before looking over at me
"I don't know what your talking about" I said
"Jason had asked if you liked eggplant in-" Percy started to say but I quickly picked up one of the cookie dough bars and shoved it in his mouth my face going red again
"Well I like them in cobbler!" I yelled completely flustered and then I heard Nico's phone ringing and that seemed to draw the attention away from me.
"It's my dad, I have to take this" Nico said before he got up and walked a little bit away and then answered the phone.
I watched as he talked and after a little he smiled and put his hand in the air pointed at out table and moved his finger in a circle and waved for all of us to go to him as he walked over to Jason's car after hanging up the phone.
Everyone got up and walked over to him as he opened the driver's door and sat down
"What's up?" Hazel asked and Nico smiled before he leaned over and turned the radio on
"Like how I dream of holding her hand down at the bay,
A knee on the ground as I ask her to be mine
Or our wedding day while she's looking so fine.
But no matter what people say I'll keep on believing." I heard myself singing on the radio
"Is that?" I asked not able to finish my sentence
"It's your song" Nico said
"You don't have a bad voice" Thalia said. I know her a little from when I had come here before and while Nico was talking with Hazel and Reyna Jason had told me she was his older sister
"Not only is it your song but my father just informed me that your wanted in Hollywood to perform live at a concert" Nico said
