Will's Point
I woke up to the sun shineing into the room and my phone ringing. I immediately jumped out of bed.
"Kayla?" I asked as sure as I hit answer.
"Yes, your mom is done with her surgery's and she is stable although she hasn't woken up yet" Kayla said
"So she's doing good? Can I see her?" I asked
"Visiting hours are between 1:30-2:30pm and 7:00-8:00pm" Kayla said
"What time is it now?" I asked
"Sorry but it's only 5:30am" Kayla said
"Well, thanks for letting me know. It really means a lot, all your help that is" I said
"Of course it's my job literally, that and your my brother" Kayla said
"I think I'll try and sleep some more" I said
"Please do, love ya" Kayla said
"You too" I said before she hung up. I then fell back on to the bed and fell asleep to the smell of stone right after a rainstorm.
I woke again and looked at my phone to see it was now 10:01am and that my phone was at 7% since I had left my charger at the hotel.
I got up and walked out of the room and as I walked down the hall I saw the McDonald's guy sitting at the dining room table with Percy and Jason. Before any of them could see me I ran back down the hall and into the bathroom they had shown me last night.
I had no idea why he was here but there was no way I was going out there looking like I did. My hair was a mess and my clothes were wrinkled from sleeping in them.
I quickly looked for something to help with the wrinkles out and found a flat iron so I got undressed and used that then put my clothes back on and luckily it seemed to work. I then tried my best to comb out my hair and then I walked back out.
"Good to see you up, how did you sleep?" Percy asked
"I slept okay, I got a call from the hospital around 5:30. They said that the surgery's all went well. She hasn't woken but I can see her at 1:30" I said
"That's great news!" Jason said
"Oh and this is Nico" Percy said pointing at the McDonald's guy
"So that's you name" I said
"You remember me?" Nico asked
"How could I not? You brought a meal for my and my mom" I said
"Wait, you two know each other?" Percy asked
"They met when Nico was in Texas" Jason said
"How do you know this?" Percy asked
"Because he told me over text" Jason said
"Why didn't you text me as well?" Percy asked
"Maybe he just likes me more" Jason said
"I hope you don't mind but Jason told me about you mom" Nico said as Percy and Jason bickered
"That's fine. When they told me you lived here I had no idea you were well you" I said
"That's ok, I came back earlier this morning and yelled at Jason when I saw you in my bed" Nico said
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you mad" I said
"Oh no it's not that" Nico quickly said
"It's just...well, it's a long story....but I wasn't mad at you" Nico said stumbling over his words. I didn't know why he was stumbling but it was cute to see.
"So what time do you need to head into work?" Jason asked
"He didn't actually say" I said
"How about you ride with us?" Percy said
"I don't want to trouble you anymore then I already have" I said
"It's not a problem, seems we're all going there anyway" Nico said.
"Is it going to be a problem that I'm wearing the same thing as yesterday?" I asked
"If there is I'll take care of it" Nico said making me smile.
After everyone ate we all met a driver outside.
Nico walked up and said a few things to the driver before walking back toward us.
"Jason's got shot gun" Nico said
"What? Why?" Percy asked
"Because it makes his job as bodyguard easier" Nico said
"Your a bodyguard?" I asked
"Yeah" Jason said as he got in the car.
"Would you like the middle or the window?" Nico asked me.
"Middle" Percy whispered as he walked to the car and got in.
"I'm fine with the middle" I said and I saw Nico let out what seemed like a small sigh of relief.
I got in the car and Nico got in right after me.
"By the way this is Jules-Albert, his my driver" Nico said
"Nice to meet you" Jules-Albert said
"This is Will, his going to be working with us" Nico said
"Nice to meet you as well" I said
We drove mostly in silence and I noticed that Nico was doing some rubberband trick with his hand. I also noticed that his other hand was touching mine but that was probably just because there wasn't a lot of room.
As we all got out of the car I walked over to Percy.
"Why did you tell me to pick the middle?" I asked in a whisper
"I can't tell you why but Nico hates small places or feeling closed in. That why he usually ride upfront" Percy whispered back
"Then why did he ride in the back with us?" I asked and Percy just shrugged his shoulder and walked inside the building.
"Hi, I'm um back to sigh some papers" I said as I walked up to the front desk.
"The boss had you scheduled for 8" the lady behind the desk said
"But he never told me a time, he just said to come in today" I said
"Well his busy now so you'll have to wait" She said as she looked down at a piece of paper
"He can do 1:30" she said
"I can't be here at 1:30, I have to be somewhere" I said.
"Alecto, tell him I'm back and let me take Will to his office" Nico said and she looked up in shock
"Of course" Alecto said
