Sorry I haven't updated this in a while I was to focused on my watty story.
Will's Point
"Shall we get going?" Jason asked his arm draped around Piper's shoulder.
"Yeah, we'll hear from the others if we're late" Percy said
"Meet you there then" Nico said
"No detours, and you stay right behind us" Jason said looking at Nico.
"Yes mom" Nico said sarcastically before he started to walk back to the car so I followed him.
As we got back in the car I saw Annabeth get out of Percy's car and run back inside and then she came back out a moment later with a covered pie tin.
"What's that?" I asked
"Oh, we're technically supposed to bring a dish of some kind" Nico said
"So why didn't we?" I asked
"We were going to bring cookies that Jason made last night but he failed to tell Percy they were for today, you can guess what happened next" Nico said
"He ate them?" I asked knowing the answer
"He ate them" Nico said with a sigh and a nod
"Then we need to make something to bring" I said
"We don't have the time now, unless you know of something we can make that's quick and dosen't require baking" Nico said
"There are some no bake cookies, I'll just feel bad if we're the only ones who didn't bring something" I said
"Alright, do you have a recipe you want to use?" Nico asked
"No, but I can look one up" I said
"Let's head home while you look" Nico said as he turned the car around and head back toward the house
"Do we have a can of sweetened condensed milk?" I asked after looking at a few recipes
"We don't, but I can ask Jules-Albert to buy some and drop it off" Nico said
"These only take 5 minutes" I said
"Oh, what is it?" Nico asked
"It's no bake edible cookie dough bars" I said
"Sounds good to me" Nico said
As we drove back to the house Nico called Jules-Albert simply by saying "call Jules-Albert" to the car a feature my truck back in Texas did not have.
"Something you need sir?" Jules-Albert asked as he answered his phone
"Could you get a can of sweetened condensed milk and bring it to the house?" Nico asked
"Sure thing, what are you making?" Jules-Albert asked
"Cookie dough bars, we had cookies earlier for the get together we're heading to but Percy ate them" Nico said
"I see, I be there shortly with what you need. Is there anything else?" Jules-Albert asked
Nico looked over to me
"I think we're good" I said
"Jason not with you?" Jules-Albert asked
"If your close to my father he is" Nico said
"Ah, so that's why I didn't hear him. Go in his room and make sure he knows to drive you when you head out" Jules-Albert said
"Will do" Nico said before he hung up.
We got back to the house and Jules-Albert was standing outside his car with a can waiting for us.
"Thanks" Nico said as he walked over and was handed the can.
"Your lucky your father doesn't know Jason's not with you" Jules-Albert said
"I think Jason would be in more trouble then me" Nico said and as he did his phone rang
"Hey" Nico said innocently as he answered
"WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO STAY BEHIND US" Jason yelled loud enough for me to hear him
"Relax, I just went to get gas" Nico said
"I'm behind a truck waiting for them to finish filling up" Nico said
"No, you should not come get me, we split up for a reason" Nico said
"I promise we won't be gone to long" Nico said
"Bye mom" Nico said looking a little annoyed as he hung on Jason
"Sounds like his not happy" Jules-Albert said
"He'll be fine" Nico said before turning to me
"We should hurry, and make what we came for" Nico said
"What are two making?" Jules-Albert asked
"Edible cookie dough bars, we can save some for you if you want" I said
"Someone cares to thinks of me" Jules-Albert said looking at Nico
"Are you still hung up on the whole McDonald's thing?" Nico asked
"Maybe" Jules-Albert said
"McDonald's thing?" I asked
"It's nothing" Nico said avoiding eye contact.
"Anyway, we should go in now" Nico said changing the subject
We walked into the house then into the kitchen.
"What do you need?" Nico asked
butter, brown sugar, vanilla, flour, chocolate chips, and of course the sweetened condensed milk" I said as I looked at the recipe on my phone.
"Got it" Nico said as he went to the cabinets to grab ingredients while I went to the fridge and pulled out the butter.
I grabbed a small bowl and put the butter in it then placed it in the microwave and checked it every 5 seconds until it was softened then I pulled it out.
And walked to the kitchen island where Nico had the rest of the ingredients along with measuring spoons and cups next to a larger bowl.
I put the needed sugar and vanilla in the bowl then added the butter and mixed it together. Once I was done with that I added the milk and the flour and mixed it until it was dough then I folded in the chocolate chips
"Now we just need to put it in a parchment paper lined pan and...." I started to say but then I stopped when I saw then next step
"What?" Nico asked
"We're supposed to chill it for 3 hours" I said with a small chuckle hoping he wouldn't be mad.
