Will's Point
I have now been working at the studio for a full week. My mother is still in the hospital with no big change from the first time I visited and things are going fine at work eventhough I can't really be myself when I'm there.
Today we had the day off and I sat in the kitchen enjoying a cup of tea.
"Are you ok with going out today?" Jason asked
"I'd be fine with it so long as it's not work" I said with a laugh.
"Great! Get ready we leave it ten minutes" Percy said before walking away
"Wait, leave to where?" I asked but I got no reply from Percy.
"Don't worry, it's no where bad" Jason said before he too walked away
"That still doesn't tell me where" I said
"Their just messing with you, we're going to the park" Nico said with an exasperated sigh
"You don't want to go?" I asked
"We going to met up with people from our old schools" Nico said
"Why do they want me to come then?" I asked
"Well you our friend now so we'd like you to meet our other friends" Nico said
"I'm your friend?" I asked with a huge smile. Sure I would prefer being more then friends with him but being friends at least meant I was closer to him
"Yeah..." Nico said his face a little red as he looked away
"I'm glad I'm your friend" I said taking his hands in mine
"Alright lovebirds, you need to get ready" Jason said as he walked back in the kitchen to grab something from the fridge(So I'm writing this on my break at work and someone said Jason just as I typed it O-O)
"Love-Lovebirds?!" I said in a stutter my face going completely red
"Jason!" Nico yelled and I noticed he was also red.
"Wait?" Jason asked innocently
"We're not lovebirds!" Nico yelled
"Why don't you go get ready" Jason said with a laugh as he looked at me and I'll I could manage to do was nod
"What's wrong with you too being lovebirds?" Jason asked Nico in a low voice as I walked away
"The fact that he doesn't like me like that, besides He's straight....I'm not his type" I thought I heard Nico say but it was most likely just wishful thinking.
I went into my room and quickly got ready then walked back out to join everyone
"Ready?" Percy asked
"I think so" I said
"Let's go then, we're be going in Percy's car" Jason said.
we walked out and over to Percy's car and I froze.
the last time I was in his car was when he took me home from the hospital.
"Will?" Nico asked
"Uh?" I asked as he pulled me from my thoughts.
"Hey, you ok?" Jason asked and it was then that I realized I had started to tear up
"Yeah, I'm-Im fine" I said
"What's wrong?" Percy asked
"I didn't think until I saw it but.....It's....the last time.......that car...." I said losing my words.
Percy and Nico both looked a little confused but Jason's eyes showed he understood
"We drove you here from the hospital" Jason said and I nodded.
"Jason, give me the keys to your car" Nico said holding his hand out.
"Why do you want me car?" Jason asked
"Because Will can't ride in Percy's car and I don't want to show up with a showfur, besides this will allow you to pick up Piper and Annabeth" Nico said
"I can't leave you" Jason said
"Just be my friend for today and not my bodyguard" Nico said
"What about your father?" Jason asked
"We don't have to tell him. If it makes you feel better I'll drive right behind you the whole way" Nico said
"Alright, just be safe" Jason said handing him keys
"It's not like I don't know how to drive" Nico said as he grabbed my hand and walked to Jason's car.
"Thank you" I said softly as we got to the car.
"It's no problem" Nico said looking back at me, he then looked down at realized he was holding me hand and quickly let go
"Sorry" Nico said before unlocking the car and getting in.
I looked down at my hand realizing just how much I liked the feel of his hand in mine now that it was gone.
I took a deep sigh and cursed my life, I just had to fall for a straight guy.
I close my hand and get in the car.
"We'll have to follow Percy and Jason to Piper's house first, then we can head to the park" Nico said
"So whose Piper?" I asked
"She's Jason's girlfriend, they broke things off for a little back when they were younger but got back together recently" Nico said
"Why did they break up?" I asked
"Let's just say she had doubts" Nico said
The rest of the drive we talked about small things and before to long we pulled up to an apartment. And I saw Percy and Jason get out of the car as two women walked out.
The first had short choppy brown hair and walked up to Jason and gave him a quick kiss while the second we had long blonde hair ran and jumped into Percy's arms and he spun her around before setting her down and kissing her.
"They must really love each other" I said
"They were going to college together but Percy came back here when his family fell in to some financial issues, they haven't seen each other in months" Nico said
Percy and Annabeth talked for a moment before Percy waved us over.
I looked at Nico but he just shrugged and got out of the car so I followed.
"Will! It's so good to see you again!" Annabeth said happily as she hugged me.
"You remember me?" I asked as she pulled away
"Of course I do! You save my life" Annabeth said
"It was nothing" I said
"No, it was everything" Percy said as he pulled Annabeth close and lend his forehead against hers.
The guy may be a goof and sometimes clueless at home but it was clear just how serious and sure of himself he was with his relationship and I made me a little jealous as I glanced at Nico and wondered if I could ever have something like that
