Luke's POV
The fire was getting more aggressive now and I coughed into the fabric of my shirt, trying to keep my hands steady to stitch up Calum's wound.
"Give it to me." Hannah said, sticking out her hand toward me. Since she was already dead, the smoke wasn't really affecting her as much as it was affecting me.
"This might hurt a little, Calum." Hannah said, and Calum nodded, his face turning paler.
"Okay, here we go," She said and she stuck the needle over the wound and started to stitch the wound together and sooner or later she was done. She rummaged through the first aid kit, finding a small pair of scissors, cutting off the end of the thread and wrapping a bandage around his stomach.
"Thank you," Calum said, quickly and I placed an arm underneath his arms and gritted my teeth together.
"Okay, mate... on the count of three... one, two, three!" I said, and grunted as I lifted Calum off the ground. He supported his weight against me and I moved towards the door.
"Ashton!" I called out and I saw Ashton's head whipped round, from where he was still with Michael.
Michael didn't look good, he was pale and he was sweating heavily. Ashton had a worried expression on his face and looked up at me.
"Take Hannah and go!" Ashton yelled and I reached forward and grabbed Hannah's arm. She staggered a few steps and then stopped, looking over at Michael and Ashton.
I saw Ashton lock eyes with me and he shook his head.
"Go now!" He yelled, in a slightly frantic tone. I then understood why. If Hannah started feeling compassion towards Michael, then this whole operation will go belly up. I took a tight grip on her arm and tried to pull her out into the hallway, but she stopped me, pulling her arm from my grasp.
"What's wrong with Michael?" She asked and I bit my lip, shaking my head.
"I don't know, but we need to go now, Hannah." I said and she shook her head.
From beside me, I heard Calum cough heavily and I looked from him to Hannah.
"Please, Hannah, we don't have much time." I said and Hannah swallowed.
"No, Luke. You and Calum don't have much time, I'll be fine, I need to see if Michael and Ashton are going to be okay." She said and after a while, I agreed with her, for Calum's sake.
I rushed down the hallway, still supporting Calum, the smoke becoming incredibly thick now. I grabbed the door handle, and immediately drew my hand back as the hot metal burned my skin. I then used my jumper to pull down the handle and open the door wide.
We stumbled down the porch steps and collapsed on the ground. I let go of Calum, landing on the wet grass, feeling the heavy rain starting to soak into my clothes and I coughed violently.
