Hannah's POV
Michael shoved me behind him and I didn't know why until Michael spoke up in a voice which could only be described as terrified.
"Dad?" He choked out, keeping a protective arm out in front of me.
Dad?
Wait, Michael's dad? His father? The one who killed him?
I peered over Michael's shoulder, to see who was standing in the corner of the basement.
He was leaning against the wall, his arms crossed. He was very muscular, he did look like Michael in many ways and he had unkept stubble on his face.
What made me shudder was that he had the same black eyes Michael had. But his were even darker, if that was possible.
"What are you doing here?" Michael said, trying to keep his voice, but that failed, his voice shaking at the end of his sentence.
His father smirked, pushing himself off the wall and taking a few steps towards us. Michael's body pushed into mine as he backed me up.
"It's a bit obvious, don't you think son?" He asked and Michael shook his head.
"You died. But somehow your still in the house. So I've been around the house, just to make sure you still are as miserable as ever." He said and unintentionally, I grasped Michael's arm.
"But the thing is, I can now see that your not miserable. You have a little play thing." He said, turning his attention towards me.
Michael backed me up further and I felt a bead of sweat roll down my face.
"I've been playing with her for weeks as well, son, I just haven't been letting you have all the fun." He said and I felt Michael tense up.
"What do you mean?" He said and his father smiled.
"Hannah, have you not noticed one of your friends acting strange?" He said and I gasped.
"Luke." I said and he nodded.
"Yeah, like you Michael, I need a body to venture outside the house. So when Luke was messing around with you that night, I possessed him. I'm anywhere he is." He said and I felt the urge to be sick.
I was right.
Luke was possessed.
"Leave Luke alone! He hasn't done anything wrong!" I yelled at his dad, trying to get past Michael but he grabbed my arms, pulling me backwards.
"My dear, I don't really care what he has or hasn't done. He was just simply in the wrong place at the wrong time." He said and I felt Michael's grip tighten on my arms.
"What do you want?" Michael said and his father smiled slowly and looked up at us.
"I want you to suffer. And since you have gone the last 200 years alone, you finally have someone that you care about." He said and Michael took a sharp inhale of breath.
"You're the one after Hannah." Michael said and his father winked.
"Bingo." He said.
Then, Michael moved very close to my ear.
"Run." He whispered, pushing towards the basement stairs.
I saw Michael run forwards to tackle his father, but as I looked back, it looked as if his father had the upper hand.
I burst open the basement door, running into the kitchen and I saw Ashton and Calum standing inside, talking.
"What's wrong?" Calum said and Ashton's eyes widened slightly.
"Where's Michael?" Ashton asked and I screamed as something grabbed my ankles and I was dragged along the floor backwards. I looked behind me and I saw there was nothing. I was being dragged backwards by... nothing.
But I could feel cold hands gripping my ankles.
Ashton ran forward, and grabbed my arms, pulling me forwards. The force that was pulling me backwards stir fled for a second, then stopped and let go of me.
"What was that?" I whispered and Ashton pushed me towards Calum.
"Michael's father." He said, and turned his attention towards Calum.
"Take her and both of you get away. He can't hurt me or Michael." He said and Calum ran, taking my hand as we got out the door of the house.
He jumped into the drivers seat, and I got into the passenger and he took off down the lane and we pulled back out on the main road.
There was silence in the car for a few minutes then Calum spoke up.
"Should we go back to my apartment? At least Ashton knows where that is?" He said and I nodded. My legs were shaking as I hugged my body.
Would Michael and Ashton be okay?
"Do you think Ashton and Michael would be okay?" I said and Calum nodded.
"Well they can't really die, can they?" He said and I shook my head.
We had arrived back in Calum's apartment and Calum held the door open as I stepped first into the apartment.
But something was odd.
It was very cold. Too cold.
"Calum, did you not pay your heating bill?" I said and Calum shivered.
He walked on into the apartment, turning on a light and I walked into the living room.
And let out a yelp as I saw Luke sitting on the sofa.
"What?" Calum said, coming in and freezing as he saw Luke.
"Are you not supposed to be in hospital?" Calum asked and I grabbed his arm.
I remembered what Michael's father had said in the basement. That he had possessed Luke to be able to step foot outside the house.
Luke was Michael's father.
"We need to get out of here." I whispered to Calum and Luke smirked.
"You're not going anywhere." He said, blinking, his eyes turning black.
Then, the lightbulb exploded leaving the room in darkness.
