THE HALF OF IT

Part - 17

This moment felt so Perfect. My heart felt full. Her little hands hugging him. I so wanted to hide my little princess in my embrace forever protecting her from everyone but I knew if I kept lingering n prolonging the hug, Ruhi might get awkward so I let her go.

She saw the gifts I have just set on table and realeased an excites squel. "Karan, did you bwought all these gifts for my biwthday?" The smile on her face made me feel as my life has just got lighten up.

"Can I open them?" She said and her expression were just as me when I use to make demands in childhood. I looked at Teju for permission she nodded her head in No and pointed her chin towards garden. I calmly said " Ruhi, we will open them later let's first go to garden and see what all have mumma done for your birthday."

Her excitement listening this was over the moon and she just ran to the garden with Tanya behind her. I looked at Teju as she just smiled and we all went behind kids. Tejasswi really did a amazing planning with decorating the whole area with pink and white balloons. A table of snacks in the corner and a micky mouse house for kids. Ruhi was looking at all this with wise eyes and jumping, clapping her hands. She hugged Teju and said "I love this mumma. Thank you" and kissed her cheek.

She then pulled at my finger holding my hand and asked, "Karan, can you please take me to mickey mouse?" I smiled at, "Of course, princess". At the same time Tanya tugged at my other hand and I looked at her and the picked both the girls in one-one hand and took them to the mickey mouse house for them to play.

Seeing my daughter bond with Karan always fill my heart with happiness. Karan being the gentleman that he is took both Tanya and Ruhi to house to play so that none of them feel ignored. Slowly other kids with their mom's started arriving and party got on in full swings with games, playing racking havoc running around, mothers talking while keeping and eye on kids, and me and Shruti making sure that everyone gets snacks and drinks.

Karan didn't left Ruhi's side for a second and I knew I don't have to worry about her and can focus on other things. The way Karan is adoring each and every thing that Ruhi was doing is so cute. He looks so amazed and proud of her like she is doing something extraordinary which I find normal because I have seen her doing all this regularly. The look of love and adoration on Karan's face made me believe he is going to be an amazing father and this thought bought a ping of pain in my heart knowing that I will not be able to give Ruhi a normal family.

Amanda approached me bringing me back from my staring and thoughts. She picked a water bottle from table and looked at Karan, " Have to say the guy is a hot commodity. Bf?" Her words made me feel something but I ignored. "No, he is Ruhi's father and we don't have that kind of realtuonship." I said.

"So you mean you both are single parents and working to co-parent together." I nodded my head in yes shifting plates as the conversation was making me uncomfortable.

"Tejasswi, please tell me he is single and if you guys don't have anything going can I go and talk to him? He looks too sexy to ignore."

Finally I knew that I am feeling jealous. Her intent in Karan was making me sick and burn with rage and jealousy but I don't have any right to feel so. So, I replied with a straight face," Yeah, I think he is single and no, we don’t have anything going."

Listening to this Amanda kept the bottle and turned on her heels to go to Karan. She too is a single mother and divorced a year ago. I kept looking at her retreating finger and going to Karan. They both started talking and soon Amanda kept her hand on his biceps n pushed her breast out, putting herself on display. I curled my hand in fist. Shruti came and saw my expression and then looked where I was seeing. "Someone seems jealous." I didn't replied. She kept her hand on mine and said,"Teju before someone else claims him and there won't be any chance for you to even give this realtionship a try, go ahead and try it once."

I looked back at them and Amanda was using her mobile typing something seemed like exchanging numbers while  Karan's gaze was on me, and that was it for me. I picked up some things and went inside the house in kitchen. Started clearing some dishes and doing random stuff to make myself busy and distract my mind. After some time when I felt calm I took a deep breath and turned around to go out but found Karan standing on the threshold, arm folded, one ankle on another leaning against the wall, like a damn Greek God that he is. 

He started coming towards me make my breathing faster. He put both of his hands on either side of the kitchen platform caging me in between him and counter. His hot breath felt on my ear as he came closer and I looked away. "What happened Teju, are u jealous?"

"N..No" I stammered.

He hold my chin making me look at him,"You really think I am interested in Amanda or is there anything to be jealous about?" He said in his deep husky voice.

My fury came back in full force,"Men I my life have always treated me like an option and I don't want to be that anymore. We ain't in a relationship so it doesn't matter to me what you do with her or anyone else." I tried to shove him away by pushing him with my hands on his chest.

He didn't budge and came more closer our fronts touching and Said in deep authorative voice," I am not like anyone in your past. When I say I want to be with you I mean it. I don't have intrest or eye for any other woman except you. You are the one I want and dream about. Since our night together in Boston I haven't been able to have a single successful realtuonship because I always kept craving for you. So get in your mind Tejasswi that you don't have anything to be insecure about as I only want you in everyway but am ready to start with anyway you want. Do you understand?"

His words made me stunned and my throat dry. Heat of his body and his voice with dominant edge was playing havoc on my body. Gathering all my energy I said,"Yes"

He smirked and backed off leaving me breathless, hot and bothered.

Making up for late update by giving double update and sorry was busy with somethings but will try to update more frequently, though no promises.
