Valentine's Day

It had already started to snow in Boston. Earlier flights are already delayed. I have a feeling that my flight will get canceled but still there is no information.

Though I ain't regretting waiting here as there is this girl sitting in front me. If I say I haven't seen a more beautiful girl than her in my entire life, it won't be wrong. She is drop dead gorgeous but what attracts me the most towards her is her eyes. The 5 sec eye contact that we had and a smile she passed to me is what had my attention.

Her eyes seems pained, full of sorrow n I feel no girl should have that look especially on valentine's day. Is she taken??

There isn't any ring on her finger but that doesn't mean she doesn't have partner but my heart still Hage hope that maybe I will get a chance to talk to her, to know her.

With these thoughts in mind I looked out to see the weather n I was sure flight is going to get canceled n it's a sit n wait situation right now until the airlines notify.

I returned my attention to the stranger sitting across from my seat, just in time to see her avert her gaze away from me and bite her lower lip as she looked at her phone again.

I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my mouth. Maybe, she too is checking me out as I am checking her. Definitely a positive sign.

I was just getting ready to strike up a casual conversation, but before I could say anything, she abruptly stood, grabbed the handle of her carry-on luggage, and walked away from the sitting area at their gate. I watched her go- walking like a queen with so much confidence which makes her more mysterious as her eyes told a different story.

I debated whether or not to follow and decided against it so I didn't look like a complete stalker. Most likely, she was going to the ladies' room and would return. I waited a few minutes.

Except she didn't come back. Half an hour later, my cell phone buzzed with an alert fromthe airlines, notifying
that his flight had been cancelled. No big surprise there.

So seems like I am going to stay stuck at Boston for at least next 24 hours and I have no plans to sleep on chair after my full day at meetings so I took out my phone n booked a room at adjacent Boston international hotel which is just a 20 min walk but I knew by the time I will reach there, there will be no room because online too I got a executive suite which cost a fortune but I am THE KARAN KUNDRRA n it's okay for me. Space was big for one person but I definitely didn't want to sleep with 1000 other people at airport.

Once I secured the room, my mind went back to the girl n I thought of waiting some more but to my disappointment no luck there.

At the same time my stomach grumbled for food as I missed my lunch so I took my travel bag and made my way out n almost every eating place was jammed pack and I desperately needed a burger and a beer before going to hotel.

He came across a Beer house n he entered it and put his order and the waiter asked him to settle down which he would have if there would have been any space.

Seems like fate have different plans because soon his eyes felt on the beautiful girl from airport and a smile tucked at his lips.

Sitting alone at a small, two-seat table in the corner of the restaurant was the beautiful girl and the fact that she was eating a burger and drinking a glass of beer, well, he was almost in love because she was his kind of girl. Unassuming, Down-to-earth, Unpretentious. A woman who enjoyed a hearty meal and a beer over a diet-conscious salad and a frilly cocktail.

Allowing a charming smile to curve my lips, I started in her direction. After taking a bite of her burger, she wiped her mouth with her napkin. Nice, I was noticing even the smallest of details about her. She then glanced up, clearly looking right at me as I approached.

I didn't miss the awareness that flashed through her eyes or the subtle attraction as her gaze took me all in. From my hairs to my shoes. I may not be the most charming man but I have decent hight and a good built n of course a smile which mostly helps charm women.

She was still staring at me with those big brown eyes, curious and unsure, and I broke the silencee hanging between us, "The place is a little busy and you've got the only free seat in the house," I said, indicating the vacant chair across from her. "Mind if I join you?"

She paused for a moment, just long enough for me to catch a quick glimmer of wariness and uncertainty in her expression. I braced myself for a rejection -there was obviously something going on with her-but then she gave her head a shake and the emotions cleared.

"I am sorry," she said...
