HI! quick question, Katniss's mom doesn't have a name right? Maybe in the movie idk? But if you know or if you have suggestions for a good name, then leave it in the comments below! Thanks!! ~sugarsweetswiftie aka Jamie:)
Prims POV

Tonight might be the only night I might be able to get a good night's rest. My sister is coming home soon, as well as her so called boyfriend and my long lost cousin. Wow. My life really has been turned upside down. I heard the Games made people crazy. What if when Katniss comes home, she's not sane? What if she doesn't remember me?

My mother and I left the Mellark's home for the first time finally, and I instantly curled up in bed. I can hear my mother breathing, and I smile. I'm just glad my mother is still sane. From what I remember, when my father died, she went kind of carzy. She never ate or drank, or even got out of bed. I still forgive her for everything, because I just couldn't imagine what it would feel like to have someone you loved so much die. One minute they were there, and the next minute they weren't.

Before I coax myself into a light sleep. I turn on my side, facing the cracked and peeling wall. "Katniss, I am so proud of you." I say to the wall. Sometimes walls are really good company. I know I've had my fair share of conversing with walls. "I can't wait to see you again. I hope your not insane." I grin at the last part, knowing that, if indeed Katniss was mad, she wouldn't forget me. After all, she volunteered to go in for me anyway, right?

When I wake up, I am pleased to discover that I didn't have any dreams last night. I actually had a pretty decent sleep. "Prim?" My mother yells.

"What!" I change into new clothes (not that the new ones were any better than my old ones).

"We're gonna go visit the Hawthorne's today!" She shouted back. Ugh. I really don't want to. How awkward would that be? Very.

I trudge over to my mother, who hands me a bowl of warm broth."Eat up. Are you excited to see Katniss?"

"We're not seeing her till tomorrow. And if you were wondering I am not excited about going to the Hawthorne's. My mother just glared at me and sighed.

"Prim, your sister is coming home tonight! The schedule got moved up!" Really?! Yes! A hug, uncontainable smile overcomes my face. To be honest, it actually kind of hurts my face but I can't seem to stop smiling. Even when we walk to the Hawthorne's tiny little home, my mouth is still glued into the weird position. I must like maniacal. Oh well.

Hazelle is waiting outside their rickety home, holding hands with little Posy. Posy smiles and waves. She is so cute, with her curly brown ponytails and with the mud streak on her olive skinned face. "Hi Prim! Hi Prim's mom!" Posy called my mother 'Prim's mom' for some reason. I guess she's too little to know that it's somewhat rude. Vick slams the door open, and in my opinion, he shouldn't because that door is just about to fall off. Literally. It's hanging sideways by one hinge. Rory follows.

Hazelle invites us inside, and my mother gives her the stew she made, still hot and steamy.

"Prim! Prim! Prim! Wanna see my dolly! I made it just like Katniss's!" Posy tugs the hem of my blouse repeatedly. I follow her to a dark wooden trunk, with gold buttons. My family and I aren't rich, but that trunk is probably the Hawthorne's most prized possession. Posy lifts the heavy lid (well it looks heavy I don't know) and gives me two rag dolls. "You can be this one and I'll be this one okay? Mine is gonna be named, uh, Kantiss."

"Kantiss?" I raise my eyebrows. Posy nods vigorously. I kind of feel jealous that other people are looking up to her, because she's my sister. Probably every girl in Panem is obsessed with Katniss. They're probably naming their dolls Kantiss right now, if they haven't already. "Okay. I'll be Olive." I just chose that name because I saw a painting of an olive on a merchant's window. Heh.

"Hi Olive! I'm Katniss-I mean Kantiss! I like to shoot arrows and I have a boyfriend named...uh...Kale!"
"Hi Kantiss! I like shooting arrows too! Do you have a bow?"
"Yeah! I always practice with Kale." It's all I can do to not roll my eyes. Little girls. Thankfully, Rory comes to the rescue.

"Posy! Stop bothering Prim and go play by yourself." Surprisingly, Posy nods and continues talking with her dolls. "Hey Prim."
