Ayla
"Okay, so this is the work we'll be reviewing." I pointed to the textbook sub headings.
"So I was thinking we could do Friday afternoons and Saturday evenings if that works for you?" He leaned foreword with a soft smile.
"Yeah, okay that should work for me."
She smiled forward at me and picked a fry off of his plate.
"Have some, you haven't eaten anything." He spoke softly, nudging his plate near mine.
I glanced foreword at the silver chain around his neck and the Rolex on his wrist.
Rich prick.
"I'm ok, thanks." I shook my head.
"Here, let me buy you something what do you want? The burge-"
"I'm okay, Noah. I ate before I got here." I lied. He shook his head with a smile and tucked his wallet back into his pocket.
"Is that all?" I asked.
"Should be."
"Okay well, I'll see you on Monday, bye Noah." I patted his hand while sliding myself out from the booth. He nodded.
I finally made it down my street, seeing my house in the distance. Our backyard only had a small metal fence around it, nothing wooden or anything.
That when I noticed a small kitten scratching on the fence. Small whines coming from his lips. I looked around for his owner and noticed no tag on him. I bent down, itching the back of his ears.
"Hey little guy." I cooed.
He purred.
"Who do you belong to?" I whispered.
He crawled over to me and snuggled his head against my stomach.
"Blink once if you wanna come home with me." I told him, seeing his large blue eyes batting repeatedly up at me.
"I'll take that as a yes."
I picked him up, feeling him licking my hand. I quietly slipped through the front door and jogged into the bathroom, locking the door.
I know well enough to know that cats hate baths but little guy had dirt all over him, he needed one.
"It won't take long, okay?" I petted him.
I placed him in the tub as he sat down. Turning on the hand shower.
He suddenly ran to the other end of the tub.
"It's okay, come on." I placed the hand shower down and took him in one hand. Taking the hand shower in the other and washing the dirt off of him.
He squirmed before getting used to it.
"That's it, you're okay." I spoke while reaching for some soap.
I lathered his fur and washed it off, taking a small towel to dry him.
"Look, all done." I held him up in front of the window as he licked himself. I walked back into my room.
