We had just landed in Boston. After the wrap party and the night clubbing we had stayed for a few more days just relaxing enjoying the weather lounging around the pool and going on a hike as we didn't have time to do that together while i was filming.
To my surprise Flo didn't take an animal home from her work so it was just us and the dogs. We smile as we see Carly waiting for us at the strip to pick us up. We hug her and i put the dogs and our luggage in the car. She drops us off at home and makes us promise to come to family dinner the next day at ma's.
We get inside the dogs running to their spots collapsing and sleeping immediately. "They have the right idea..." I say smirking to Flo. She sighs. "Yeah, well we can't we have to go shopping there is nothing to eat or drink in the house..." I sigh and groan not wanting to go to the store. She laughs. "Come on big baby... The sooner we go the sooner we are back and can relax. Maybe snuggle in bed watching a movie?" I smile and pull her in for a kiss. "You drive a hard bargain Mrs. Evans... But sold."
We get into the car to go groceries shopping. As we walk through the store getting stuff a little girl pulls on my shirt. "Mister..." She says and i crouch down to her level smiling at her. "Yes princess... What can i do for you?" She looks sad and on the verge of tears. "I lost my mommy..." she says in a soft tone.
Flo looks at me and i pick her up. "Let's go find your mom..." I say and tell Flo i will be right back. I walk to the register to have her mom called out on the system. She keeps babbling as i walk to the cashier and she calls for the girl's mother. 2 seconds later a panicking mother comes running up and i hand her the girl. She thanks me but freezes when she recognizes me. I take a picture with the girl and say goodbye trying to find Flo.
Flo jumps squealing as i scare her coming around the corner. People are looking and she slaps my chest. "Payback is going to be a bitch..." She scolds me and we continue shopping. We have a lot, and the car is almost too small.
After we had gotten home and put everything away, we make some snacks and plop on the couch there is a game on, and Flo reads a book as i watch the game yelling at the screen making Flo giggle every now and then. Flo is not that much into sports, but she doesn't mind me watching happy to just spend time together.
When the game is over i look beside me to see Flo had fallen asleep her book still open on her chest. I smile and carefully take the book putting her bookmark in it before cuddling up to her and soon i am asleep to.
I wake up a few hours later Flo still asleep in my arms, i dont want to get up but i have to pee so i glide of the couch so as not to wake her up and go to pee. When i get back i see it is almost dinner time so i walk to the kitchen wanting to surprise Flo i am going to try and make lasagna.
I just have put the lasagna in the oven when Flo comes walking into the kitchen. "Smells good..." She says smiling wrapping her arms around me laying her head on my chest. "Did you have a nice nap?" I ask her. Wrapping my arms around her to. She nods her head before laying it on my chest again. We just stand there in silence.
"You, okay?" I ask her. "Yeah, happy and sad to be home..." She whispers. "I kind of had fun in LA..." I smile happy at the fact she had fun. "Chris?" Flo says letting out a sigh. "Yes sweetheart?"
"I am not going back full time working at the clinic..." She says in a small voice and i could feel she was nervous to say it. I look down as she looks up. "I liked working only 3 days..." She whispers almost apologetic.
"If that is what you want sweetheart... Then that is fine with me. Listen even if you wanted to stop working altogether that is fine with me..." I say softly kissing the top of her head.
She shakes her head. "No i think i will go crazy if i dont work at all but i kind of like having more free time... I have been working long hours ever since i got my veterinary license... I like it dont get me wrong, but my priority's changed..." She says blushing. "Besides the clinic is doing fine without me..."
"Like i said if that is what you want i support you... If you want to go back to working full time i support, it to... But part of me is liking it... So, i can spend more time with you..." I say smiling.
Flo makes a salad to go with the lasagna and i walk the dogs really quick. When i come back Flo has set up the table and the oven dings and i get the lasagna out of the oven.
We eat and to my surprise it tasted good making Flo giggle at my reaction. We eat and after dinner i go read some scripts I have been send, while Flo is going to wash and groom the dogs. I asked her if she needed help, but she chuckled telling me she could do it faster without me.
I read for a few hours until Flo comes into my office. She sits down in my lap pouting at me. "I am bored..." She whispers in my ear. "Can we do something?" I smirk at her, and she hits my chest. I laugh. "What did you have in mind...?" I ask. "Wanna play beer pong?" She says smiling. I chuckle. "Sure..." I say lifting her up with me as i stand up walking to dining room to set up the game.
