We were walking the dogs as Dodger needed to go and Flo offered to come with, instead of going to the dog park we decided for a walk just in the neighborhood woods and as we walked hand in hand i couldn't help but think how natural this felt. We didn't say much but it never was awkward.
"When we come back i am going to brush and trim Ollie and Georges nails do you want me to do Dodger to?" She asks. "Only if you let me help." I said smiling at her. "Deal... Even though i dont need help with mine i think Dodger will be another story...." She said smirking.
"You're probably right." I said chuckling. "Can i ask you how good your hair trimming skills are?"
"Better than yours..." She said grinning. I looked at her. "Hey i tried my best. I dont think he looks that bad......" I said faking being hurt. She giggled. "He doesn't but i can see where you went wrong with the clippers." She said smirking.
"Okay fair enough the first time went well so...... I got a little overconfident the second time." I said smirking. "Poor Dodger...." She said shaking her head. I wrapped my arms around her waist and lifted her up, making her squeal. "Take that back." I said grinning. She shook her head grinning back at me. "Nope never...." I started to tickle her, and she started laughing and wriggling in my arms. A few people walked past us looking but i didn't care. Ollie, George and Dodger saw what was happening and came running jumping around us all excited wanting to play along. "Okay, okay, okay!" Flo squealed "I take it back!" I put her down but not letting her go keeping my arms around her as i bend down to kiss her.
When we arrived back home, we walked to the yard and Flo went to get the dogs grooming kits. She came back and gave me a brush to start brushing Ollie and she did George so that we could do Dodger do together. I again was surprised at how well-behaved Ollie was, just standing there letting me brush him flocks of hair flying everywhere. "You want me to pick it up?" I asked.
"No, it's for the birds to help them with their nests." She said smiling and i chuckled. When we were both done with Ollie and George it was Dodgers turn and he looked at us with betrayal in his eyes as i held him while Flo started the clippers. She trimmed Dodger Quick and efficient and i couldn't help but admire the way she worked.... Easing Dodgers nerves along the way.
When she was done, she looked at me and smirked. "You want me to shave you to?" I looked at her surprised looking if she was joking or not. "I dont have a movie coming up for another 6 months." I said shrugging my shoulders "It is a lot easier to maintain...."
She looked at me still with the smirk. "Wait here..." She said and walked inside. She came back with another set of clippers. "Dont want to do yours with animal clippers..." She said laughing.
"Are you sure about this?" She asked as she had sat me down in the chair. I nodded and smiled up at her. "Do your worst i said grinning." She pulled my head back and kissed me. "I'll do my best...." She said smiling and ran the clippers over my head i could see hair falling down and i could hear her chuckle.
When she was done, she gave me a mirror and i started laughing as she left a Mohawk on my head. "Oh no.... I am no longer welcome in my mother's house like this..." She laughed and sheered it off. I could hear her change the setting of the clippers and she sat down in my lap.
"This is to long now...." She said looking at me running her hand through my beard before she kissed me. "Can i just take some off?" She said smiling and giving me a little kiss again. "Go right ahead sweetheart..." I said kissing her once more. I smiled as she started, her tongue slightly peeking out as she concentrated on what she was doing. I just looked at her in awe as she trimmed my beard.
"Perfect." She said kissing me when she was done. She wanted to stand up to get off my lap but i pulled her back in kissing her passionately. "The new neighbors are weird...!" We heard being yelled followed by laughing. I groaned and buried my head in Flo's neck knowing who the voices belonged to.
Flo chuckled. "You guys are the weird ones...." She yelled back. "Spying on people in their own backyard like some obsessed stalkers... what's next peeping through the windows?" I laughed as i saw the faces of both Shanna and Scott stunned not expecting for her to bite back. Flo grabbed the stuff and went inside with the dogs and i followed not wanting to hear what was coming next from my brother and sister.
"Sorry about that." I said as she was putting her stuff in her work bag. "Dont worry about its Chris, it is fine. That is where siblings are for. Now let's get their nails clipped and then we can give them baths." I looked in awe as she clipped 3 dogs at ease being done with them in the time i normally would have done one nail of Dodger.
I followed her into a tiled room with a big sink with a shower head. "Wow this is specially for the dogs?" I asked. She smiled. "Yep." She said looking at me. "This way i dont have to unclog the shower every time and it is better for my back. You want to wash Dodger first?" I nodded and picked him up and put him in the sink. She checked the temperature before rinsing him and she gave me a bottle of shampoo. We soaped Dodger all the way up and rinsed him out before she grabbed at towel from the rack drying him off and after got a special blow dryer to make sure he was dry. We did Ollie and George the same way and when we were done, she told me to give them all a treat from the jar sitting on the shelf.
We sat on the couch each with a beer. "You want to play a game..." She said yawning. I chuckled. "What do you say we go to bed early. You have an appointment early in the morning with the guy from the wood shop." I said planting a kiss on her head. She nodded. "Do you want to sleep in my bed?" She asked shyly. "If you are okay with that... I am fine with it. If you want me to sleep in the guestroom i am fine with that to...." She stood up stretched out her hand and i took it as she led me to her bedroom. We got ready for bed and when we laid down, she snuggled into me. "Can't sleep without my teddy bear." She mumbled half asleep. I smiled and kissed the top of her head and while i played with her hair we both drifted off to sleep quickly.
