Marissa brushed her new, blue shirt flat over her sides before exiting the small sleeping quarters and looking for the red flamed Peterbuilt. She spotted the large vehicle beginning his slow roll out of the hangar where he said he would be waiting for his new passenger while she changed (expecting the young adult to take at least nearly as long as Mikaela). Having to readjust the strap of her loaned military pack, the woman dashed for the outside world with a wide smile on her face. Spying Sam and Mikaela readying to join their guardians (Mikaela returning to Ironhide), Marissa waved, earning joyful smiles back.

"She's too cool about all this." Lennox frowned, watching the civilian pause to greet Miles and Blurr (who hadn't transformed yet to speak with Knockout).

"It may just be her natural personality." Ratchet suggested, sitting in his alternate form as he waited for the Colonel. "Vector Sigma has also been with her for over a month, so it makes sense that she would be conditioned to the idea of other beings. You, Sam and Mikaela were not introduced to our kind as slowly, or as peacefully."

"Neither was Shane Faireborn." Lennox chuckled, though his mirth didn't last long as he frowned once again. "Vector Sigma can't determine what a human will do or what will happen to them, right? Unlike you guys."

"That seems to be the case." Ratchet would have gone into his own theories about the matter, but something in William's tone suggested he wasn't thinking of the mystical aspect of the ancient power. "You seem concerned, why?"

Colonel Lennox lifted himself from leaning against the medic's door and entered his cab.

"Vector Sigma knew both Barricade and Starscream would have killed Marissa in a heartbeat. Her parents too, if need be. So why put them all in danger instead of call to you guys earlier? It's selfish and rather self-serving."

"But they did not, Colonel Lennox."

The simple notation made the human raise a brow in question, staring at the mech's rear view mirror.

"Neither Barricade nor Starscream offlined any of the Faireborns, even Marissa, for Vector Sigma. I will not say that they were safe, especially Marissa, but in knowing his creations, Vector Sigma knew it was not within either mech's personality to murder the Faireborn family in that situation. He could very well tell you what I may do if you were in danger inside my cab, and ultimately the outcome of your safety if directly correlated with me."

"So, Vector Sigma just knows what you would do given any situation?" Lennox crossed his arms as he thought.

"He even knows what I'm saying right now."

"But he doesn't know what I'm going to say next?"

"I'm sure he can take an educated guess. Vector Sigma only knows my reaction to you, and as more or less a byproduct, the outcome of whether or not you are likely to live. If Starscream and Barricade were to greatly harm Marissa, they may believe her dead and that is all Vector Sigma would know. Whether or not she lives or is revived in one of your hospitals would be a complete mystery to him."
