From Our Perspective

Chapter 7

*River's POV*

I was right about hurting the next day. I woke up to almost my whole midsection covered in bruises and just sore all over, especially in my arms from carrying the students around. Today was NOT the day for hero work so I decided to just lay myself out in bed and just relax for today. I turn the TV on and close my eyes, having it on for background noise more than anything as I feel myself already falling back asleep.

...........*BANG BANG BANG* "I know you're home, River. Open the door!!"

I'm jolted awake by the banging on the door, almost summoning a weapon before I hear Kat from the other side. I go over and crack the door open and I see Kat all dressed up, the sun almost blinding me after being in my almost pitch-dark room.

"Well it's about time. I tried calling and texting you but you didn't answer so I came over."

"Cool. Did ya have to come over so early though?"

"Early? It's 1 in the afternoon, get some light in there!"

Kat pushes herself past me and throws open my curtains to my annoyance.
"Well excuse me for sleeping in, some of us are sore from doing hero work and having the crap beaten out of us."

Kat rolls her eyes and throws something at me. I catch it and unfold what looks to be a flyer for a new store opening up. The colors alone were obnoxious and I had the feeling I knew where this was going.

"There's a new Lolita clothing store opening up in Harajuku and I want to go. I've been saving up money to buy something from here and I need you to come with me."

"Yeah, you'd get lost otherwise and I'd have to send a search party for you. I don't have to go into the store with you, right?"

"No you can wait outside if you want. I won't be forever in there, I promise. Please?"

I can see that she really wants to go and I don't wanna disappoint her so I agree to go with her.
"One condition though; you're coming with me to Akihabara afterwards. New game came out and I really need to get my hands on it."

"Deal!"

*Kat's POV*

I leave River outside the store as I enter. It was a small store but the clothing were exactly what I was looking for and they could custom-make it to be your size so I felt like I was in heaven. Before I knew it I blew pretty much my entire budget on a whole new outfit for myself. There was so much on the dress that the bag it was in was practically bulging but I couldn't be any happier with what I bought. I walk outside and I could see that River felt really out of place here, it was almost funny that a pro-hero with at least 5+ years hero experience still had anxiety in crowds although I'd never say that to their face.

"Alright I got everything I wanted, you ready to go?"

"I've been ready, I hate coming here"

"Isn't Akihabara just as crowded though?"

"It's a nerd's paradise though and I'm a huge one. Like how this is more your kind of place to hang out at, you get me?"

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Alright then let's go."
