From Our Perspective

Chapter 16

*Kat's POV*

Everyone got real busy over the next couple of days. We were all told the plan and what each of us would have to do during our next attack on the U.A. people. I haven't even been able to see River too much since they were busy with Spinner and Magne. Apparently the three of them would be together. Much to his dismay I was to be paired up with Mustard during the attack, I'm guessing it's because I'm immune to his quirk so I can actually stick close by him without anything happening to me.

I was experimenting with different flowers and their effects when Toga ran into my room all excited.

"Come with me, Kat. Right now!" She sounded really excited and before I knew it she had a firm grip on my hand and was dragging me downstairs to the bar, where there was a warp gate open waiting for us I presumed.

We go through the gate and walk into a mostly dark warehouse, with only a few overhead lights on to light up the room. Waiting for us was Giran, with a couple of unmarked but sealed cardboard boxes down on the ground separating us.

"Just the two I've been wanting to see. Got a couple of things here that are really gonna help you out from now on. Go ahead, see what's inside."

Toga basically rips into her box and pulls out what looks like a bunch of pods attached to tubes. Giran starts explaining them to her as I open my box a bit more carefully. I pull out a metal ball with a bunch of holes around it. Coming out of it was a thick braid of metal cables which came to end at what looked like a belt. The ball reminded me of a tea infuser and on the sides were indents that I could fit my hands into perfectly.

"Your sibling helped me out with coming up with this, Kat." Giran kneels down and pulls the rest of the weapon out of the box showing it me in its entirety.

"It goes around your waist like a belt. The entire thing is made out of titanium so there should be no worries about anything breaking or snapping. It works like a ball and chain weapon and the cable can extend up to 50 feet so you can keep yourself at a safe distance while still landing hits. This small winch here on the side of the belt holds your cable and you got buttons here to either wind it back up or to pull it out. The real kicker is the ball though." He takes it from my hands and shows me the indents where I was holding it.

"Your hands go here. Then you fill this with any flowers of your choosing and it'll automatically turn them into either a fine dust or a liquid, you're able to choose. Then with every impact it makes, some of it gets released right onto your opponent or into the air. You can also throw it and have it release gas like your bottles do except this'll be more quieter and discreet, no more messes. Convenient, no?"

I was barely able to keep up with his explanation but I think I got the gist of it. I took my new weapon back and thank him, Toga doing the same but I could tell she wasn't a huge fan of her new equipment. We both take our leave and go through the warp gate again. When we come out the other side there was Twice, Dabi and River all together and from the looks of it Twice was...taking their measurements? River looks over and sees me, beckoning me over to them.

"Got your new thing huh? Let me see." I hand it over to them and I look to see what Twice was doing with Dabi.

"You almost done here? You've been very thorough already I think."

"Just about done! Don't rush me!" Twice was measuring Dabi's lower half as he said this. I ask River what's going on.

"In order for Twice to make copies of us he need our exact measurements. Apparently there's a need for multiples of me and Dabi so here we are. He already finished getting mine just a bit ago." They hand my new weapon back to me.
