"Boom!" Eddie slaps two tickets on the counter. He has a smile spread on his face. Steve squints at them. Friday the 13th Part III, 8:30 PM. "Movie tickets?" He picks them up to inspect them further. "Is this your way of asking me on a date, Munson?" He returns the other's smile.
"Yeah, I guess it is. Also you are incredibly u-" The shrill rings at the front door open, and reveal Robin. She inspects what she just walked in on. Steve holding up two tickets at Eddie. Eddie lening towards Steve, over the counter. Steve smiling at Eddie. Eddie smiling right back. She clears her throat and the two turn. Eddie spins and leans his elbow on the counter, 'non-chalantly', and Steve straightens his posture, still holding the tickets. Robin laughs.
"Are you two going on a date?" She jokes. The two men look at each other. When she turns to find them both flustered and lost for words she laughs more. "Oh calm down, what are the tickets for?" Eddie relaxes, and Steve sighs in relief. Eddie grabs the tickets from Steve.
"I noticed that they were doing the Friday the 13th event down at the theater, again. So I got tickets because you know how much I love horror. A-and Harrington here," he points dramatically at Steve. "is incredibly uncultured and doesn't like horror. I thought he should suffer through the movie with me. It was the cheapest ticket." Robin nods, grinning, looking back and forth between the two of them. "...Ookayy, well you two have fun." Her tone seems, odd, Steve thinks.
"Why are you even here, Rob? It's Thursday, and last time I checked, you don't work on Thursdays." Steve crosses his arms and looks at her. She reaches behind the counter and pulls out a jacket. "Left it here last night. I could ask the same about you." She nods at Eddie. He holds out the two tickets. "Tickets, Buckles, tickets. Why else would I be here on my day off." She glances over at Steve, then shrugs. "Beats me. Bye losers. Don't be late for school Eddie." She runs out the door, and into her mom's car.
Eddie laughs nervously and faces Steve again. "Close one huh?" Steve smiles and nods with the statement. "Yeah, close. So, this movie, it scary?" Steve genuinely looks worried. This makes Eddie laugh with affection. "No, it's a shit movie, but I love it. You'll like it." Before Steve could answer, Eddie looks at the clock and declares that he needs to get moving, he has somewhere to be before school. He leans in further to kiss his boyfriend on the cheek and bolts out, leaving one ticket on the counter. Steve's face heats up as he watches the former leave. He grabs the ticket and shakes his head. "Where in the world does that one need to be?" He mutters under his breath as he gets back to work.

Steve picks Eddie up at 8. Eddie insisted they be there super early to find good seats. As he throws himself into the front seat, Eddie tosses a small bag into the back seat. Steve greets him with a kiss. He looks back at the bag that ended up falling on the floor. "What's that?" Eddie follows his gaze and hesitates. "Oh, uh you know, like necessary outing stuff. My man purse?" Steve would have asked more questions, but Eddie's face looks so, nice, in this lighting.
The drive wasn't a long one. As they were nearing the theater, Steve tunes into Eddie's humming. It was a tune he knew, one he recognized. As they pull in to a parking spot, he mentions it. "Dee, are you humming, what are you humming?" Eddie doesn't make eye contact. "I-I wasn't- No I think you're hearin things, big boy." Steve blushes. Eddie notices and smirks at his ability. As they walk to the door, the thought keeps nagging him. What song was that?
"Yeah, uh we've got two tickets for Friday the 13th. Uh part three, 8:30 showing." The two hand their tickets when they're prompted. When the woman in the booth tells them to enjoy the movie in a bored voice, Eddie salutes her. The two are careful to not be, well gay, in the crowd. They quickly reach their screen, as this small theateronly has two screens. Eddie says that the best seats for horror are near the back, so they install in the middle of the row, three rows from the back. The room is pretty empty by the time the introduction begins. "Guess that's what happens when you try to make four of the same movie." Eddie remarks. "Nobody shows up. Don't they know the rule, never fuck with the original." Steve smiles at the beginning of Eddie's ranting. As the film begins. Steve grabs Eddie's hand.
Eddie has definitely seen this movie before. He recites lines that he finds funny, or just lines he remembers. He notices the interesting directing choices, wardrobe choices. He makes notes on all sorts of different things. Steve loves hearing the way Eddie passionately rants, whispering, as to not get yelled at. It's still a movie theater. Steve keeps his hand wrapped around Eddie's.
"See, that was supposed to be in 3D, but we can't afford that here in Hawkins, not since the mall fire. That's why it was such a weirdly shot scene."
Why the hell is she in a bikini, but nobody else is?! I never understood that. Plus it's like November, she looks cold. Andy, give her your jacket, asshole."
"Ha, who says that? 'Don't look at him, come on let's get outta here!'Fucking creep, Rick."
"First of all, what did she trip on? Second, who says oh shit like that when they fall on their face? And, finally, she broke in to that barn why is she worried about who's up in the loft?"
"That kill, Steve it kills me everytime. Honestly he was a creep, he deserved that death."
"Okay so confusing. She keeps acting like we knew she's been here before, chill out, dude we don't care."
Steve barely pays attention to the movie, while Eddie talks about these moments. He tells him when to pay attention, because the detail is important. He watches as badass, hardcore Eddie Munson's eyes shine as he laughs at the screen. He watches him, and watches him.
Thoughts race around Steve's head a mile a minute. Eddie feels like the one. Eddie lights the fires. Eddie, he thinks, is the one I love. I think I love Eddie Munson. Without thinking, he takes his other hand, wrapping it around his and Eddie's, and kisses Eddie's hand. It's too dark, nobody could see, anyway.
A/N i just recently watched this movie and it was beyond terrible. so, eddies opinions are mine that me and my best friend had as we watched it. i literally hate rick he was so weird, if it wast ft13 i would have thought he was the killer.
