Steve 'the hair' Harrington.  He didn't change much.

Everyone loved Steve. Well when he was at his prime in highschool that was. He kind of fizzled out after the whole Startcourt thing back in the summer.  Max lost her brother. Everyone almost lost Hopper. After he was saved from the debris, him, Joyce and the kids moved out to Lenora Hills shortly following their wedding.  Steve and Robin merely lost their jobs in the fire. The two now work at the family video store, down the street from the arcade.

Steve stood in front of the mirror hanging crooked above his sink. He spat toothpaste out in haste. He passed his kitchen and grabbed a bagel and tossed it in his jacket pocket. He slipped his shoes on and ran out the door, before running back in to snatch his keys off the table. His car was realtively new, so when he started it, it didn't make the groaning and grinding sound he was used to during his highschool career.

"You're late, Harrington." Robin said as she plopped down and slammed the door of his car. She hadn't changed much since the fire either. Her hair is shorter, sure. But overall she is the same girl that Steve got locked in the bathroom with all those months ago.  He smiled over at her sarcastically.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever.  Did you eat yet? I brought a bagel if you want to split it." She sat quiet for a moment. "Hmm, yeah sure. I had this nasty cereal my mom bought for me and god was it bad." He nodded.  He waited. "Wheaties! They were called Wheaties!"

---

As Robin unlocked the front door, Steve pulled the bagel out of his pocket. It is now squished and not so apetizing looking. He held it out to her and she grimaced. "Ew I don't want your pocket food that's disgusting. I take it back I don't want it." She walked into the store and flicked on the lights. He just smiled at her and took a huge bite of the so-called pocket bagel. She shook her head and got to work.

The day was slow. The two have few guests and those guests are just moms with their kids. Steve is excruciatingly bored beyond return. That is until the door chimed for the first time in an hour.  He didn't look up right away. "Family Video, you want it we've got it..." He said flatly. No response. Robin jumped up from her seat suddelny, catching Steve's eye.  She got up to go talk to none other than Eddie Munson.

Munson was a freak. Who smoked a lot. That's what was going through Steve's mind. He wore this jean jacket vest with no sleves and so many rings you'd think his hands would fall off. And weridest of all, Steve thought, he wore a black bandana in his back left pocket. Every day.

"Buckles, Harrington." Eddie nodded and tossed his hand up, eyes glimmering. Steve rolled his eyes and Robin laughed. She hopped over the counter. "Eddie hey man!" she gave him a big hug. Steve couldn't fathom how she could do that as he was certain the guy reaked of weed. He just nodded back. And he go back to work.

Everytime Steve looked up Eddie was looking at him. Looking and him through the shelves, looking and him over the shelves, looking at him between two vhs cases in his hands or just plain looking. Steve thought he looked mean, or mad. Something about his eyes set something off in him that he couldn't quite place. This resulted in a heated staring contest between the two.

This whole, thing, was interrupted by the chime of the front door for the first time since Eddie walked in.  Steve exhaled when he saw who it was. Mike, Dustin, Max and Lucas strolled in, and happy engulfed in their conversation. Well, most of them. Max was listening to her music like normal. Her face dark and Steve smiled at her, but no luck. That's normal though, he thought.

Steve looked back over at Eddie, or where he was, as he has dissapeared. Dustin walked over to Steve and greeted him. "Hey, hey! Steve? dude I'm down here." Steve's mind was pulled out of a fog as he was snapped back to reality by the boy. "Oh hey dude, guys." Dustin just shrugged this interaction off and started talking his ear off. As this happened, he watched Eddie put down some movies and sneak out the front door as quietly as the shrill bells would allow him to.

"H-hey you guys are friends with Munson right?" Steve cut in. Mike and Lucas nodded, and Dustin said "Yeah why? Are you?" Y-n-I was just wondering, he came in earlier. Nevermind it's nothing, keep going." Steve shook his head. Robin looked at him, then at the door, then back at him again, perplexed. That was beyond weird, she thought.
