Victoria whipped her head around to face him, "Kieth?!?! "
"That's my name, don't wear it out." He smirked.
"Kieth Matthews, I'm serious!" Victoria exclaimed. "I can't believe it's you! Oh my gosh, I knew I recognised you!" Victoria was so shocked she had her hands over her mouth.
Kieth's grin only became wider as he stood up and opened his arms wide. Victoria wasted no time launching herself into his warm embrace. She had her arms around his neck with her face buried into his shoulder. "I've missed you so much!" Victoria gushed. Kieth only hugged her tighter.
"My God, it's been so long," Kieth whispered. He suddenly pulled back and Victoria frowned at the loss of contact. "I've been meaning to give this to you!" He exclaimed, digging through his pockets. He finally pulled out a stainless steel ring. The stainless steel ring Victoria has been looking everywhere for.
"I've been looking for that!" She said excitedly. Kieth grabbed her right hand, about to slip it onto her ring finger, before Victoria stopped him. "Wrong hand." Kieth smiled to himself before grabbing her left hand and slipping it onto her ring finger. Once the ring was back on her finger, Kieth grabbed Victoria and pulled her back into a hug.
"I can't believe how long it's been," Kieth murmured. "What have you been up to? Do you still play the electric guitar?" Victoria sighed sadly, she sure did miss playing the guitar. "I had to sell the guitar." Kieth seemed shocked, "How come? You loved that guitar!"
"I know, I still do. I needed money so I sold it. I never got adopted, Kieth. I turned eighteen so they had to kick me out." Victoria admitted. Kieth had a sympathetic look on his face, "Victoria, I'm so sorry..." He felt as if he didn't know what else to say, so he pulled her into a tight hug again.
"No, it's okay, it's not your fault," Victoria mumbled while still holding onto Kieth. He pulled back from the hug again and cradled her face in his hands, "This feels so surreal." He mumbled, changing the subject. "It does, it really does," Victoria replied.
"Do you have your own apartment now? Some place of your own?" Kieth asked. Victoria shook her head no. "Where are you staying?" He asked. "I'm staying at a motel a few blocks away. It'll have to do for now." Victoria told him, pointing in the direction of the motel.
Kieth bit his lip in thought, "Come stay with me and my mom and her daughter." He offered. "Oh, no, I can't do that." Victoria shook her head. "Of course, you can! My mom won't mind, I'm sure she'd love you, and I'm sure her daughter would too." Keith assured her.
"I don't know," Victoria sighed. Kieth took her hands in his and looked her in the eyes, "Please?" He begged. "Are you sure?" Victoria asked. "I'm one hundred-and-ten percent positive." Victoria looked hesitant once more. "Please?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. Victoria sighed, a smile slowly spreading across her face, "Alright, fine."
Kieth had a grin from ear to ear and swept Victoria off the ground in another hug. "Alright, calm down Kieth, don't cream your panties." Victoria snickered.
Kieth shook his head and chuckled once he put her down, "You haven't changed one bit...mentally that is." Victoria chuckled also.
Kieth and Vicotria stayed seated on the couch on the veranda and talked for a little while more before they decided to head out. They walked around the neighbourhood, stopped for a while at the park and then went to the motel Victoria had been staying at.
"Pack up your stuff and check out, you're staying at my house," Kieth told her while leaning against the doorframe of the motel room. Victoria went around the room and collect her things as well as her toiletries which were scattered about in the washroom. She didn't acquire much in the time she was out of the orphanage besides a plain black t-shirt and some second-hand jeans, so everything fits in her backpack like before.
Back at the Curtis residence, no one noticed the absence of Two-Bit and Victoria besides Johnny. He noticed the pair get up from the porch couch and wander down the streets of Tulsa. He witnessed the entire exchange between the two and immediately knew that Two-Bit was in fact the Kieth that Victoria was referring to the other day.
Kieth never mentioned the fact that he was adopted except when he first met the gang and he never mentioned Victoria. The gang did however notice the silver, stainless steel ring on his left ring finger, but didn't question it.

"What do I call your mom?" Victoria asked as she and Keith walked up the front steps to his house.
"I don't know," Keith shrugged. "Carol, Ms Duran...Kieth's mom if you really want to go there." Victoria chuckled.
Kieth opened the door and led Victoria inside and into the kitchen where his mom sat, drinking a cup of tea while reading the paper at the table.
"Hi, mom," Keith spoke.
"Hello, sweetheart!" She rose up from her seat after placing the newspaper down, wrapping her arms around Kieth. "How was your day?" She said, pulling back and looking up at him with her hands cupping his cheeks.
"Great, ma." He answered, removing her hands from his face. Before Keith could introduce Victoria, his mom spoke up. "And who's the pretty lady?"
Victoria blushed and Kieth opened his mouth to answer the question, "This is Victoria, an old friend of mine."
"Nice to meet you, Ms Duran," Victoria said, sticking out her hand for her to shake.
"Lovely to meet you too, and please, call me Carol." She instructed while shaking Victoria's hand.
"Mom, do you think Victoria could stay with us for a bit?" Keith asked.
"Oh, well, umm-" Carol stammered, having been caught off guard. Victoria didn't let Carol finish before she spoke up, "I promise it won't be for long. Just until I get back on my feet for a bit."
"I guess it's fine," Carol answered after pondering on the subject for a brief moment.
"Thank you, this means a lot," Victoria answered with a smile.
"It's no problem, dear," Carol assured her.
"You know, mom," Keith said as he wandered over to the fridge and pulled out a carton of orange juice. "Victoria and I had pretended to marry each other a few days before you had adopted me." He said and smiled over at Victoria while grabbing two glasses from the cupboard and pouring the juice in.
"Aww, that's sweet," Carol said as Keith handed one glass of juice to Victoria and kept the other for him. His mother continued to sip on her tea. "Do tell me more of your time together." Carol encouraged.
And the rest of the evening, the three of them talked about anything and everything. From music to books, to Victoria's job - anything that came to mind! And Kieth and Victoria felt like they had bonded all over again.
