Manvi covers her marks with makeup as today is Arohi's engagement and everyone will be visiting.
Her parents were also invited to the function and she had to hide the marks from them. They invited her parents not because of the relationship but for the sake of money.
Deep enters the room and hugs her from behind, placing his hand on her waist. The wounds were still fresh and the moment he placed his hand it pained. "aaj apne maa baap se baat kar lena samjhi... waise achi lag rhi ho"
Deep leaves her and gets ready for the function. Manvi looks at herself in the mirror. She tried her best to hide her wounds behind her makeup and saree. She plastered a smile on her face and walked out of the room welcoming the guests.
She serves the juice to everyone and smiles. The neighbor smiles and blesses her "khush raho beta..."
Ruhana and Vineet enters the house. Deep comes to Manvi and takes the tray from her hand "manvi.. Kabse sab ko serve kar rahi ho chalo khud bhi toh lelo juice"
He makes her drink, she eyed him and drinks the juice. Yamini welcomes Manvi's parents and Manvi rolls her eyes toward them.
She goes to them and hugs them tightly "mumma papa..."
Ruhana caressed her head, she parts the hug, and sees her neck. She was wearing some artificial set, she eyed Arohi who was wearing her gold necklace, bangles and earrings.
Yamini smiles and said "Aapki beti na bahut zyada samajhdar hai... mere mana karne ke bawjud sab kuch Arohi ko pehna diya aaj"
Ruhana looks at Manvi and smiles "meri beti hai na.. Janti hai kya sahi hai aur kya galat hai na mannu?" she asked.
Manvi nods yes silently, and the engagement ceremony starts. They exchanged the rings and Manvi smiles.
Prerna's husband decides to speak to Vineet. He goes to him and said "namaste.."
Vineet tries to recall him and remembers "namaste.. Aapne uss din madad ki thi.. Aaj apni beti ko khush dekh raha hun! Bahut bahut sukriya aapka" he thanked him.
He feels even more guilty and smiles "kabhi kabhi hum jo dekhte hai wo sach nahi dikhawa hota hai Vineetji.."
"Ji?" he asked in confusion.
He eyed Manvi and smiles "bahut achi hai aapki beti lekin ye.."
Prerna comes to him and held his hand "Suniye ji...."
She takes him away from there and shot a deadly glare at him "kya kar rahe hai aap?? Kyun humhe ghar se beghar karna chahte hai?? Ye inka matter hai khud dekh lenge aap zyada mahaan mat banyie"
"Prerna lekin.." he protests but she didn't listen and leaves the house.
Vineet was left in a dilemma hearing his words. He had increased the doubts in his mind, Manvi was happily clicking pictures with the family and they were behaving extremely well with her.
"Kabhi kabhi hum jo dekhte hai wo dikhawa hota hai Vineetji" his words echoed in his ears.
Ruhana saw Manvi in the kitchen checking the food, she moves and places her hand on her shoulder. Manvi said "Aah.." as it pained she had accidentally placed her hand on her wound.
Ruhana is amazed by her reaction "kya hua?" she asked.
"Kuch nahi mumma... wo kabhi kabhi Deep aise peeche se aake papa ki tarah haath rakhte hai na.. Yahan sab hai toh bas aise hi" she made up the story.
"Acha.." she said doubtfully.
Manvi smiles, Ruhana saw everyone busy and this was the right time to speak to her. "Sach sach bata mannu baat kya hai?"
