They reached the society, and Vineet saw the house approaching. He said "bhaiya bas yahi rokiye"
The auto driver stops the auto, Vineet gets out, takes out money from his shirt pocket, and hands it to him.
Ruhana rolls her eyes towards her daughter and said "mannu.. Ghar aa gaya chalo uthro"
She tries to get off, but she kept her hand on the handle and missed her balance. Her father grabbed her carefully and helps her get down. He kept his hand on her shoulder but she jerked away out of fear. Vineet was shattered by her condition, he had read in newspapers about many girls being victims of domestic violence due to dowry but he had never imagined in his wildest dreams his own daughter will be turned off to be one of those victims.
As it was late evening, neighbor ladies who were out from a walk saw the scenario. Their respective husbands were returning from work and also witnessed this. Sharda and Chintu came out of the house and were left stunned to see Manvi.
Manvi saw many eyes staring at her, she looks down feeling scared and humiliated. Ruhana quickly opens the door of the house and Vineet takes her inside.
Chintu asked innocently "dadi manvi di ko kya hua??"
Sharda smiles at him lightly "kuch nahi beta.."
"Mujhe unse milna hai" he said softly as he felt she isn't fine.
"Kal milenge abhi toh aayi hai na.." Sharda spoke and Chintu agrees. They move back inside the house.
Ruhana closes the door before neighbors could bark inside and starts questioning him. The silence prevailed, Manvi's head was on his shoulder and he helped her walk in.
Ruhana had tears in her eyes, she cleaned her eyes as the situation is sensitive. She kept her hand on Manvi's shoulder.
She removed her hand and gets away from them. She realized what happened and came to her senses, she was frightened to face them too.
"Mannu.." she called her but she run inside the room
Vineet sits down on the couch with a thud, tears began to roll down from his eyes to his cheeks. The scene he witnessed in front of his eyes was filmed in his mind. He closes his eyes, he was feeling guilty for marrying his daughter off to a greedy family.
