Aisha's POV

Bliss. Undiluted pure bliss.

When I agreed to the Disney land trip, I did not expect to become part of a crazy group of people who were wandering around the globe without proper inspection.

Right in front of my eyes, months had passed. The summer sun unleashed its full power in the first week of June. Since Aaron had started taking on more responsibilities as the CEO under his father's guidance and managed less time for himself, he made sure to spend a few minutes or an hour with me. And I was perfectly fine with that, for I never wanted him to prioritise anything below me. I mean, why would he? I was just a friend. Anyways.

Stepping inside the apartment, I switched on the lights. The days passed by like seconds and the four walls of my apartment felt more bearable to me. All thanks to the man who I call my best friend. Unknowingly he had been healing me. He was finding his way around the armour of my cracks and trespassing them without any remorse. And I was letting him do that. For why else would I allow him to talk about anything and everything.

Even Nicholas was behaving like his usual self, the gentleman I adore. He went on a date with a girl he found on the online dating app, and things were going pretty good for them in the last two weeks. I was delighted to know that he stood up to his ground, looking up for someone he deserved.

But, it was June.

The month that should never have come into my life.

I changed into shorts and a loose shirt as I sat on the couch with 'Doom at your service' on TV as background noise. Munching on my popcorn, I was fully devoted to the show when my phone beeped from the centre table. My lips curled into a smile immediately as I saw Aaron's name on it.

"Why are you calling me?" I asked.

"I was getting fucking bore. I needed something to distract myself from the boredom."

"Eat shit, Aaron. I am busy." I said as I picked up the remote and lowered the volume, which with god's curse, increased and Aaron heard.

Fucking fuck.

"You are a traitor. A rascal and a bad... bad girl. You promised to not watch the next episode without me. Turn off the show right now."

I rolled my eyes, stopping the show with a heavy heart. "Done, happy? Now, why have you called? I am not in the mood to talk to you right now."

"As I said I was getting bored."

"And what am I? A joker in a circus? The mighty McOwen, the king of the potty kingdom is getting bored and now needs someone to entertain him so that he can give more shit to people. Woohoo." I said with a smirk.

I snorted when Aaron chuckled from the other line. "Whatever. I have a meeting in five minutes."

"Which means?"

"Which means you have exactly five minutes to entertain your king. Now, do what you can and you will be rewarded with a pile of my shit. 250 grams to be precise. I guess that's much an average human poops every day."

"Eeeee, yuck Aaron. You are going to pay for the washing powder I need to wash away this visual from my memory."

"And who started it? What are you doing?" He said as I heard the screeching of chairs and footsteps. He probably would have stood up and faced the window now.

"I was just having popcorn and watching the show."

"Are you okay?"

I knitted my brows. "Yes. Why? What happened to me?"
