The Funeral

It's been two days. The funeral for Will is today. Ben, Dustin, and Claudia go to the funeral. Ben is going to pay his respects to Joyce when he sees Lonnie, Joyce's ex-husband. Ben turns away immediately. He doesn't want to punch someone at a funeral. He starts walking away and notices Nancy and Jonathan crouching down near Jonathan's car. He finds it odd but just walks away. He stays home the rest of the day. Ben is home alone. For a while, he just watches TV, until he turns it off and goes into his room.

Ben puts a tape in his tape deck and he puts the headphones on. He grabs his drumsticks and sits down at his drumset. He plays the tape. "Should I Stay or Should I Go" starts playing. He starts playing his drums to it (Play video now).  He's playing really loud and can't hear anything as tears threaten to spill out of his eyes. When he's about halfway through the song, someone touches his shoulder. He jumps and turns around. He sees Dustin. Ben pauses the tape and takes the headphones off his head (Pause the video at about 2 minutes).

"Holy shit, you scared me," Ben say, out of breath. 

"Sorry," Dustin responds. 

"Where have you been?" 

"Just at Mike's." 

Ben nods. "That makes sense. How about I make us some dinner?" 

Dustin smiles slightly. "That sounds like a plan." 

Ben chuckles as he stands up. He puts his tape deck on his side table. Ben and Dustin walk out. Ben makes both of them dinner. They sit down and eat. They don't talk much. There's not really anything to talk about. Dustin goes to his room after eating. Ben cleans up and goes back into his room. He just falls asleep.
