Your POV
Standing in front of the restaurant's head chef who was bowing at a ninety-degree angle, I chuckled nervously as I averted my gaze around my office. I almost forgot what happened yesterday.
The chef has rushed to my office and is now apologizing for being rude and ordering me around yesterday. I already told him that he should think nothing of it since I was the one who kept my position a secret from him.
"Please, no need to bow. You did nothing to offend me." I said awkwardly, trying to convince him to stand up.
"You're so kind, madam. Did you perhaps plan to go undercover to know the staff well? That might be it, right? People show their true colors to people they are equal with. You must be checking who's fit to work in your establishment. Such a genius plan indeed." He said, finally standing up and looking at me with adoration while my sweat dropped.
Ano daw?
[T: What did he say?]
"I- Uhm- Yeah! That's what I did. Please don't let the others know because I don't want them to worry about getting fired. Everyone I worked with yesterday is all hardworking." I replied, agreeing with whatever he said. It's good to have a good impression from co-workers.
After that awkward conversation, he finally took his leave to continue his work since it was almost time for lunch and people will be swarming the restaurant again.
I also had some paperwork to do but those are just budgeting and allocating resources. I finished it in no time and now I had nothing to do again. However, I feel so sleepy since I had little rest last night, thanks to a certain someone.
Mr. Takeomi is also not here since he had some business to do, but it's alright since I can handle things here on my own, for now, at least.
I made my way to the couch and laid down as slowly sleep took over.
Mikey's POV
*achoo*
"Do you have a cold, Mikey?" Sanzu asked as we walked towards the meeting room for yet another meeting.
"No, just a sneeze." I said, finally reaching the door where I can hear faint noises of arguing inside.
Sanzu opened the door and the room became quiet. Ignoring whatever the commotion was earlier and walked to my seat.
The meeting started immediately, Koko had listed everything that was on the agenda, and one by one, we discussed and gave them a solution except for one issue.
"I suggest that we stay low for now, the police are starting to get smarter every time. One of our assets in Roppongi has been confiscated. That's already a big loss for us." Takeomi states, arms crossed, and had a serious look on his face.
"Well, we should just kill the rat before we get ratted out." Rindou said with a scoff while Koko scowled.
"That won't do anything now, we were already ratted out." Koko said.
"And whose job was it to make sure that no pest comes to Bonten?" Ran asked with a smirk on his face as he looked at Kakucho who was just calm.
"It's not about whose fault this is, you guys are just wasting our time. We should be suggesting solutions not blaming who." Sanzu said as he glared at the bickering bunch.
How irritating.
"Go with Rindou's suggestion. Track down and kill them and we'll skip this matter for now. Think of a solution until the next meeting." I said, leaning back in my chair as they all nodded.
