Your POV
I sighed in relief after another successful day of work. I'm getting used to managing the business that I don't even need Takeomi to re-check the simplest things.
"Great work today, Ms. Luz." Takeomi greeted as I handed him the paperwork I have finished I smiled and thanked him.
A lot of time has passed since I came here to Japan and found Manjiro and I feel so content with what I am doing and how we are progressing now. The restaurant became busier since it rose in popularity.
The workers are diligent and hard-working and I even added a few things of my own to the menu since Manjiro insisted and encouraged me to do so. Filipino desserts were added and became a big hit with the locals and gained positive feedback from tourists.
A knock and our office door were heard and a familiar voice that can always make my heart jump in joy spoke, asking permission to enter.
"Come in" I said and as I watched the door knob turn and the door open, there stood a man with bleached-white hair, and mesmerizing ebony eyes, who wears a soft smile on his face.
"Are you done with your work, Lulu-chin?" He asked as he made his way in my direction.
"Yep, how about you? You came here early." I replied as I met him halfway through the room, hanging my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I already told you that I barely do paperwork since I have someone to do it for me. Nothing important came up so I came here as soon as I was done." He said, gazing down to meet my eyes with such a loving look.
"Aren't you just being lazy? Don't dump your work on your subordinates only, what if they got overworked?" I asked, slightly squinting my eyes while he just chuckled.
Opo, natuto na po siyang tumawa at ngumiti at yun po ay nakakamatay.
[T: Yes, he learned how to laugh and smile and it's very deadly.]
"They won't because like I said, it's nothing important." He said with a smile before he placed a kiss on my cheek while I looked at him with suspicion.
Ngayon na lagi ko na siyang nakikitang ngumiti, minsan di ko alam kung may ibang meaning ba o wala.
[T: Now that I always see him smile, I don't know if he means something more or not.]
I sighed and did not ask any further, it's not like he'll say anything if I ask anyways. I let go and walked to my desk to tidy up my things.
It was silent for a while before he finally asked if I'm mad but how can I be mad at that face?
Those months that I spent making him healthy and happy, he looks less of a zombie now and more like those famous idols. I remembered when we strolled at the park and someone asked if he was in a band or a celebrity once.
After that, he stopped wearing a black face mask and a cap. I don't know why but he seems to hate too much attention and is not so photogenic either. It doesn't matter to me since I already have his image in my mind but it's a waste not to capture a masterpiece.
"Lulu-chin?" He asked, gaining my attention. I was deep in thought that I forgot to reply to his question.
"I'm not mad, why would I?" I asked
"But you sound like you are upset." He said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and making me flustered by the sudden touch.
"If you did nothing to make me mad then I'm not mad. Besides, you know that I hate it if we fight for something so small. We're not kids anymore." I said and turned to face him, cupping his cheeks and gently smiling.
