Cavite, Philippines | January 2018 [Final Timeline]
"Nurse Luz, salamat po sa pag-alaga sa tatay ko." A guardian of an elderly patient thanked Luz who was only doing her job. The most she had done was clean the patient's wounds yet the guardian was thankful for her utmost care.
[T: Thanks for taking care of my father, Nurse Luz.]
Luz was nominated as a top employee for consecutive months now and she always replies in humble ways which made her a very good role model for her juniors.
"Ingat ho kayo!" She waved goodbye as she watched them exit the emergency ward. After which, she headed to the nurse's lounge and was greeted by her greatest friend, Cia with a cup of coffee.
[T: Please take care!]
"Oh, anong meron?" Luz asked as she took the coffee made by Cia and took a sip.
[T: Hey, what's up?]
"Hmm, wala lang." Cia replied before skipping away to the corner and making her own cup of coffee.
[T: Hmm, nothing much.]
"Naku, ikaw ha! Ganyan ka ba kaexcited maikasal, sis?" Asked Luz as she sat down and continued to drink her coffee. She then stared at her cup and was put into deep thought.
[T: Geez, are you that excited to get married?]
Her best friend and now former roommate, Cia, is marrying her childhood friend in a month. Luz is the maid of honor, of course, putting away blood relations, they were basically sisters.
Ganito nalang din ba ako, Lord? Always the bridesmaid but never the bride? Bakit ba ang malas ko sa pag-ibig.
[T: Is this how it is, Lord? Always the bridesmaid but never the bride? Why am I so unlucky in love?]
She recalled her ex-fiance, Danielo. She thought they would end up but he cheated. To make it worse, Danielo was crazy in the literal sense that she had to put a restraining order. And as if that wasn't enough, he stalked her in every possible way and almost kidnapped her.
She barely escaped him because of her intuition. It is like she had been kidnapped before that she knew when someone had bad intentions. Danielo was put to jail but not even half a year later, he ended his life in prison. Luz never had any relationships after that and devoted herself to work.
"Aaayy!" Cia exclaimed while looking at her phone which made Luz jump in surprise.
"Oh, kalma mo teh. Anong meron?" She asked and looked over her friend's phone. She was watching YouTubers from Japan—siblings with beautiful features such as their eyes that look like jewels.
[T: Hey, calm down.]
Cia was watching with subtitles so they could understand but Luz learned how to speak Japanese from one seminar in her past. As the male sibling spoke a sense of deja vu hit Luz but she only disregarded it and continued watching.
"Ay, ampogi talaga ni Haruchiyo-kun!" Cia exclaimed which made Luz lightly slap behind her friend's head.
[T: Omg, Haruchiyo-kun is as handsome as ever!]
"Huy, Ikakasal ka na next month tapos iba pinagkakakiligan mo. Sumbong kita sa magiging asawa mo." She said.
[T: Oi, you're getting married next month and you're looking at someone else. I'll tell your future husband.]
"Hmm, eh fanboy rin kaya yun sa kapatid ni Haruchiyo." Cia reasoned with a pout.
[T: Hmm, but he's a fanboy for Haruchiyo's sister too.]
