Delilah
Today I was starting a new job at Family Video, it had just recently needed some positions filled, apparently, a lot of places were hiring after some mall fire happened during the summer, why would I not apply? I had to say though, thank god the pay was relatively decent because this vest was not really it.

As I walked through the door with my bag, and the vest on, I saw the inside of the store I would be working at, I had to say I did like the neon sign against the wall it was cute. I took a shuddering breath as a walked in, pulling back my shoulders and faking up some confidence to not look like a wreck.

"Hello welcome to fami-" a boy said before cutting himself off. "You're the new girl aren't you?" He said eyeing me as I stepped up to the counter.

"Wow word of me travels fast around here, that's me, new girl," I said laughing.

"Our manager told us you would be coming on board with us today, so you're lucky enough to be training with the best in the game. Robin the new girl is here!" He called through the door, a girl with shorter hair and a beaming smile came from one of the aisles with a spring in her step.

"Would you look at that! I was right it was going to be a girl, you owe me dingus!" She cheered coming around to my side of the counter. "It's nice to have you though, I'm Robin," Robin said smiling. I took a relaxed breath and smiled back.

"I'm Delilah, I'm happy to be here. What about you though, I'm almost sure your name isn't Dingus?" I asked the guy, he scoffed.

"Thanks Robin, you killed my first impression, my name is Steve, you know, Steve Harrington?"

"What are you a celebrity, or like, well
I'm just curious am I supposed to know you from somewhere?" I asked puzzled, observing his face analytically. Robin giggled and led me to behind the counter.

"You know, king of Hawkins High? That's me!" He said desperately. I smirked shaking my head.

"Well Harrington, of course I don't know the king of Hawkins High because I'm not from Hawkins, I just moved here from Nevada. I'm Delilah Halen, Queen of nothing." I said throwing my bag onto one of the shelves.

"Little Stevie here graduated last year and still tries to grasp onto that whole king thing, I think he's trying to assert power." Robin teased making Steve roll his eyes.

"Wait a second.." I said observing Steve extra attentively. His eyebrows raised and he leaned away a little.

"What exactly am I waiting for?" He asked confused. I gasped in realization.

"Your hair, you use Farrah Fawcett spray don't you!" I squealed leaning against the counter. His eyes went wide and he quickly put a finger over my mouth.

"How did you know that! Did Henderson tell you?" He said under his breath. Robin swatted his finger and he stood back up straight putting his hands on his hips.

"God you stand like my mother and no, I don't know who Henderson is-"

"One of his strange little child friends." Robin butted in.

"Okay so no your strange child friend Henderson didn't tell me but I know Farrah Fawcett when I see it how do you think my bangs look so good Harrington?" I asked with a laugh. He shook his head smiling.

"You're right you're making it work, how many puffs do you use I'm a firm believer in at least-"

"4 puffs." We said at the same time. Our eyes went wide as we high fived, laughing like dumbasses.

"Awww Steve, you finally have a hair fanatic to share your wisdom with! He doesn't shut up about his hair." Robin scoffed.

"I don't constantly talk about it just only on fair occasions, I can't reveal my secrets! And besides, she can probably teach me about hair things look at her she's got this handled!" He complimented.
