Steve
*The next morning*
"Delilah this is Steve do you copy? Delilah this is Steve do you copy? Delilah this is Steve. Do. You. Copy!" I yelled into my walkie as I sat in the back seat of Nance's car.

"Steve would you shut up she's fine, I'm sure!" Robin yelled from the front seat. I groaned.

"We don't know that Robin! I haven't heard from her since I said bye yesterday morning! She could be laying in a heap on her bathroom floor for all I know!" I yelled back, fluffing up my hair.

"Guys he has a point, Vecna got to her once, he can do it again," Max said leaning forward to Nancy and Robin. Nancy groaned.

"Why are we all making such a fuss of this girl anyways? We barely know her." Nance said exasperated, I was almost sure our faces collectively fell.

"She's done a lot for us and I, we care about her a lot Nance, I don't know what your problem is with her but she's been so nice to you," I said angrily. She rolled her eyes.

"Ok fine, fine! I will drive over to her house, we'll say our hellos to the perfectly fine perfect Delilah and we'll be back on track!"

The drive to Delilah's house was angst-filled, maybe just for me but I felt that it had to have been more than just me. Every bad scenario filled my head and I couldn't prepare myself for any of them.

Nancy peeled into Delilah's driveway and in an instant I'd leapt out of the car, followed by Dustin, Max, and Robin which was a nice enough notion. "Steve her car isn't here, that has to be a good thing!" Robin said.

"Or it means that she crashed in another one of her Vecna visions and she's lost without contact and in trouble!" I retorted pessimistically.

"Steve, she's gonna be fine," Max said doubtfully, she couldn't believe it either so how could she say that? I knocked on the door rapidly, waiting for what felt like a lifetime. Finally it opened and a sweet-looking woman answered the door.

Her hair was golden blonde and she was on the shorter side, not looking anything like Delilah. "Hi ma'am, we're looking for a Delilah Halen, is she home?" I asked playing with my fingers.

"Oh not right now dear, I think she may be out at a friend's house still, I haven't seen her since yesterday morning." She replied smiling. "If you wanted I could let her know you stopped by, what's your name sweetie?"

"I'm Steve Harrington, just please let her know I stopped by if she comes home?" I begged.

"Oh Steve! I've heard about you, I just want to say I appreciate you for making my baby feel so safe here in Hawkins, maybe someday soon you'd like to join us for dinner?"

"That sounds wonderful ma'am," I said with a beaming smile.

"You can call me Shannon, I'm Delilah's mother, but don't you worry dear I'll make sure I deliver the message as soon as I can." She said smiling.

"Thank you, Mrs. Halen," Robin said smiling and heading back to the car, we all said our goodbyes and crawled into the car with our worries barely eased.

"So?" Lucas asked looking around at us.

"Her mom said she hasn't been home, she might be at a friend's house, but as far as I know we're her only friends so there's only one other place she could be," Dustin said.

"Eddie," Max said simply. Nancy nodded her head unenthusiastically and pulled out of their cul-de-sac quickly.

As we pulled up to Rick's cabin my heart dropped seeing a crowd of people, news stations, and police, more importantly, Delilah's car behind them, the front two doors left open and crime scene tape around it.
