Delilah
Steve, Lucas, Henderson, and I were on Max duty when we got back to Nancy's house, she was writing away, the boys were all theorizing about some Victor Creel guy, and I was trying so hard to remain aloof despite being on edge, despite the hole in my neck."Guys we have a plan!" Nance said hopping
down the stairs with some folders in her hands. I stood up, standing behind Steve in the recliner, sitting with his legs crossed reading the articles from the 50s about Victor."Thanks to Nancy's silly little newspaper minions, we are now rock-star psychology students at the University of Notre Dame," Robin said with a smile. "I get to be Rose."
"I'm Ruth, and well we need one more psychology peer, Genevieve," Nancy said looking on at me and wiggling her eyebrows.
"No way," I said with a beaming smile, going over to her and taking the file she extended out to me.
"Nice GPA," Dustin said impressed.
"Thanks!" Nancy said sitting down. "So we called Pennhurst Asylum, told them we'd like to speak to Victor Creel for a thesis we're co-writing on paranoid schizophrenics-"
"To which they said no." Robin pointed out.
"But, we landed a three o clock with the director."
"Now all us three have to do is charm him and convince him to let us talk to Victor," Robin said taking a seat.
"Then maybe we can rid Max of this curse," Nance said with a smile.
"Yeah about that, we've been doing our homework on this Creel guy, and well we've got lots of questions," Steve said putting his article down, leaning forward and looking at me.
"We hope that Victor has those answers." Nancy shrugged.
"Wait.. wait hold on a second, uh, where's my file?" Steve asked.
Nancy had led Robin and me up to her room, Steve right behind us bickering. "Nancy you're out of your mind to take her there with all that's going on, Delilah should be resting not meeting with a man in a psych ward."
"Steve. Robin and I are very much capable of keeping an eye on her, on top of the fact that she is older than the both of us and can take care of herself." Nance groaned as I sat on the foot of her bed watching the two of them go back and forth all while she rummaged through her closet.
"She has a Tom Cruise poster.. she has a Tom Cruise poster," Robin whispered to me with a smirk. I rolled my eyes as she looked through more of Nancy's stuff.
"I just, it's just that I left her alone for one minute last time Nancy and that monster creep sucked a chunk of her flesh out and went all Godzilla on the stalls!" Steve said worriedly.
"I'm right here Steve you know that right..?" I asked with a smile playing at my lips.
"The adults are talking Delilah." Steve joked, I groaned and laid down, wincing as my neck pressed against the sheets.
"Steve don't worry about it, we are not going to let her out of our sight for a second, but it might be fun for her to not be sniffing up you guys' asses against her will." Nancy scoffed shooting me a smirk.
"So help me god Wheeler, you bring her back with another hole in her neck and we're gonna have some issues." Steve scoffed, sitting next to me on the mattress and then laying down, I picked my head up and dropped it back onto his chest, shutting my eyes gently.
"Hey come on neighbor, now's not the time for napping we have a case to crack," Nancy said waving a black dress and white heels in my direction.
"Hah! You have to play dress up, you have fun with that!" Robin teased playing around with a music box.
