Steve
The next morning I only half woke up with pressure on my chest and hair tickling the skin on my neck. Delilah's arms held around my torso and her head laid above my heart, breathing softly with her knees pulled near her chest.

From the table beside us, Henderson's walkie screamed at us, miraculously not waking anyone up. I groaned, wrapping an arm around Delilah's waist to make sure she didn't fall onto the floor while I reached over to grab it.

"Dustin!" Eddie yelled a final time making me roll my eyes.

"It's Steve, can you shut up before you wake everyone up?" I said groggily as Delilah shifted in her sleep, groaning rather loud and moving one arm to rest on my chest.

"Wow Harrington never took you to sound so feminine early in the morning." He scoffed jangling some kind of metal around.

"Yeah well that's not me, that's Delilah, sleeping drug-free," I said with a smirk lingering in my tone. Eddie scoffed on the other end.

"Yeah okay hothead, good morning to you too, so I was wondering because I'm currently living in a shack as a fugitive and suspect to murder, could one of you-"

Delilah shifted in her sleep momentarily before sitting up dazed. "Eddie?" She asked groggily, not quite awake. "Steve is Eddie here?"

I patted her back and guided her to lie back down. "I'm right here princess," Eddie said with a tinge of sarcasm in his voice. She laughed and pulled the walkie from my hands.

"What's going on freak?" She asked getting comfortable on me again.

"Not much, you know just the whole criminal thing, a monster guy running around, people with snapped limbs," Eddie said moving around obnoxiously enough for us to hear it clearly through the speaker.

"No of course, what else would it be? How you doing on groceries? You need another delivery?" She asked stomaching through a yawn.

"Oh please I'm more than set on groceries, you've given me enough food to last through an apocalypse, which honestly I don't think would be much crazier than all this shit."

"For once I agree, I think zombies would be more tolerable than this asshole who keeps haunting her, after the stunt he pulled the other day that's enough of him," I said pressing my finger down over Delilah's to press the speaking button thing.

"See I know how to make a good point, don't I big boy?" Eddie teased, snickering a little bit. "But uh, if anything, another six pack would be otherworldly right now."

"I'm not sure what the dinguses have planned for the day but stay near your walkie and I can keep you up to date, I'll let you know what the game plan is as soon as I can Munson." She said sitting up all the way.

"That sounds just perfect, thanks beautiful," Eddie said kindly, making her rest a fist over her forehead, looking down and laughing softly.

"Of course freak." She said flattening out the antenna on the walkie-talkie as she finally waved off her grin.

"Thanks beautiful?? What's he your little boyfriend or something now?" I scoffed trying to seem nonchalant. She half glared at me.

"What's the matter Harrington? You jealous because another man called me beautiful? Wouldn't kill you to shower me in compliments once in a while." She joked getting up. I pulled her back onto the couch by the hand gently, she landed in my lap with wide eyes.

"I didn't know that was even on the table, but now that I know that it is, I don't think I'm ever gonna stop," I said softly, making eye contact and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Her breath shuddered as she looked to my arm beside her head.
