"Nova" I said as my friend opened her front door, getting ready to go to school I assume, "I know you and Nick have like, beef right now, but he, Lewis, and I really need your brief assistance." Nick nudged me at the mentioning of he and Nova's issue, and Lewis stood behind both Nick and I, doing nothing.

"What's going on?" Aubrey asked her wife, "why are you just standing at the doorway?" She walked up to Nova and saw us outside, "oh."

I assume Aubrey's sudden lack of interest in what was unfolding, was because she saw Nick. I don't blame her, but hopefully she'll allow Nova to do us this solid given this isn't just about Nick.

"What do you need me to do?" Nova asked, looking at all three of us, one by one. Aubrey folded her arms, "yeah" she said, "what do you need her to do?"

"Nothing crazy" I assured Aubrey, "it's just, Nova has a class with Rico." Aubrey nodded, "I think I'm aware" she said, "and what about it?"

"We need to follow Nova to that class" Lewis stepped in. Both Aubrey and Nova gave us quizzical looks.

"Why?"

"Long story short, coach kicked us off the team because of Rico" I told the girls. "Nick wants to plumule his face in, while I just wanna simply encourage him to get us back on the team.

"And Lewis?" Nova asked, "what about him?"

"Y'all already know why I'm off the team" Lewis reminded the girls, "but I've been cleared of that whole situation. So technically, I have a right to getting my spot back." Nova nodded.

"Okay but even if Jason convinced Rico to talk him and Nick back on the team" Nova began as she looked at Lewis, "how would you get back?"

Lewis shrugged, "I can convince Rico to help me."

"You can convince him?" Aubrey asked, "or you can beat the guy to a pulp and scare him into speaking on your behalf? Because those are two very different objectives Lewis." Lewis made a guilty face.

"I figured" Aubrey replied in reaction to Lewis' facial expression. "But it's you guys' lucky day." Everybody looked over at Aubrey with anticipation.

"I heard a little something about your football coach, not sure if it's true" Aubrey said. "Something about how...he has a thing for prostitutes and strip clubs?" I chuckled, "we all heard that. Never asked though."

"Well, I'll be willing to test that theory for you guys today" Aubrey volunteered. "I'll wear something racy, but not revealing, and say nasty seductive shit. My phone will be recording everything and if Mr football man refuses to let you guys back on the team, I'll threaten to report him." I smiled.

"Have I ever told you that you're one of my favorite people ever?" I asked Aubrey, putting an ear to ear grin on her face.

"Hey!" Nova objected, "what about me? I can still help by talking to Rico so that he can talk to you guys." Everybody gave Nova's words a quick fit of chuckles and smiles.

"Yeah I think you should" Lewis said, "if one of us approach him, he might think we're gonna hit him."

Nova stuck out her thumb to give us a thumbs up. "Got it!" she said with glee.
