once flynn had been told the 'story' of the guys, she decided to go home and call it a night.
"are you staying longer, lily? or do you need to be home as well?" julie asked the girl who was sitting on the couch next to reggie.
lily looked up from her game of rock paper scissors with her brother and faced julie.
"it's getting late so i probably should head home. i don't want to be walking in the dark." lily said, standing up and grabbing her bag that she left by the studio doors earlier when she first came here.
"we can walk with you if you want?" luke said, not wanting lily to walk alone. that, and the fact that he didn't want to part from her just yet.
"sure. i'd love the company if it's alright with you two?" lily said, smiling over at her brother and alex.
"of course." alex said as he smiled back at lily.
"cool. i'll see you tomorrow, julie?" lily said to the girl, receiving a smile and a head nod in response.
"yep, see you tomorrow." julie said as she left the studio and walked back into her house.
"so, where do you live?" reggie asked his sister as he fell into step with her.
"not far from here, probably about a ten minute walk?"
"i'm fine with that. i love walks." alex said truthfully. whenever his anxiety would start to spike, he'd go on a walk to call himself down.
"hey, can i ask you something?" reggie said, looking down at lily.
"anything," she replied.
"how's mom? i assume she re married after i died. is she happy?" reggie asked, making lily frown slightly.
"uh, she didn't re marry. she's still with dad." lily replied, looking down at her shoes as she kicked a stone slightly.
"still? but i thought they were literally a fight or two away from a divorce." luke spoke, making lily look over at him with a soft smile, before looking back at her brother.
"yeah, but as weird as this is going to sound, your death kind of brought them back together? i think they both kind of realised that loosing you was too painful and they needed to stick together." lily said, making her brother smile.
"oh, that's good. i'm glad they're happy. i wondered what happened to them." reggie said, the smile back on his face.
"yeah." lily whispered, not wanting to let her brother know that their parents were fighting again, all the time. "anyway, how are you guys? you know, being in the future and all?" lily asked, wanting to change the subject.
alex then began rambling about how weird everything is, and how things have changed, with reggie butting in occasionally too. luke, on the other hand was looking at lily with a frown on his face. he saw how her face dropped slightly when reggie mentioned her parents being happy together, and how quickly she changed the subject.
he wanted to ask her if her parents really were happy, but he didn't want to push her. if she wanted to tell them, she would. and if she did, luke would listen.
"okay, this is me." lily said as she and the guys walked up to her house. "thanks for walking me home." she smiled at them.
"no problem sis." reggie smiled. "will we see you tomorrow?"
"of course, i'll ask julie if i can come round." she replied. "night guys."
"night lily." the boys chorused, and then they poofed away, presumably to the studio.
