Itachi Pov

I figured seeing her in person should be better than only reading descriptions.

She's staying in a guesthouse near the hokage office. I should stay so far away so I won't be spotted but close enough to see. A tree should be good. Hm? What's that? She's awake. I guess she's nervous.

Her lips are moving. Is she speaking to herself? That's weird. Reading it won't be a problem with the sharingan though.

Y/N:"Itachi was it? I don't like this but I'd love to see the Sharingan."

She goes inside and grabs a cup.

Y/N:"An anbu member... I wonder if he was the person who sold out his family's plan. Can we trust that he is on the hokage's side?"

It's 6 in the morning the sun is coming out. I guess if I don't want to spend energy hiding it should be better to put her in a genjutsu.

Y/N pov

He fell for it. Playing all scared was worth it. Now I can see what I'm up against for the rest of my life.

Y/N:"Where am I?! Mom are you there?! Anyone??"

Okay crows are everywhere. His specialty. He's coming.

???:"We should work on your acting when we have free time."

God he knows I really should work on it. Sigh why did I think the youngest person to join the anbu would fall for that. Idiot yn idiot.

Y/N:"You got me. So what do you wanna discuss. I assume that's what you're here for?"

Itachi:"I'm sure we both know a lot of things about eachother. But your questions seemed genuine so I'll be answering them in return you must do the same."

This could be dangerous I may know about what he has achieved but I know nothing of how he became the person he is now. But hurting me is hurting the contract so I have nothing to lose.

Y/N:"I accept"

Itachi:"first you'd like to see my Sharingan?"

He closes and reopens his eyes revealing a glowing red ocean that makes you forget the situation. He currently has three of three but he must be hiding a secret about them. I am sure.

Itachi:"to your next question. Yes I was the one who found out what they were planning and I was only doing my job. No meaning behind it."

A long pause. I can feel his pain. I don't know why he isn't on his clans side? Isn't it always family first?

"Last one. I am on the side of the village. If the hokage does injustice I won't be-
Now I've said enough your turn.
What abilities do you have?"

Y/N:"Free to say my mother's but with the chakra type electricity and water."

Itachi:"kekkei genkai I see...
Do you want..children?"

What? WHAT? HAHAHA I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT QUESTION.
Breathe in and out. Don't laugh. He is to be respected.

Y/N:"I do Not know you enough to answer this question....maybe in the far future."

Wow I was able to answer that without laughing. I'm so proud of myself.

Itachi pov

Why did I have to ask that question it was unnecessary we aren't even married yet. Still it took everything I had to ask. This is arranged. It is to save people. I shouldn't be selfish.
I feel like a child being embarrassed of eating dango.

Itachi:"ehem- well that was all. We will have enough time to discuss everything else. We have a whole lifetime."

And so I let her out of the genjutsu. She is exhausted. I'll take her to the bed. After taking care of her. I make my way to report to danzo.

I've arrived at the headquarters. Bowing I report:"Sir everything is taken care of. Do you need me for anything else?"

Of course I don't say the part with the questions. In his eyes I've only checked up on Y/N, made sure her decision was final and that she hasn't run away.

Danzo:"Itachi. You do know if anything doesn't go as planned in the slightest operation C will start."

"Yes I am well aware."

"Good. You may leave."

I had the night shift so I can now rest and finally see my brother again.

I've arrived.
Everyone's still asleep except for my father I can hear him talking with someone. I guess the contract arrived.

I open the door to my room that I share with my 10 year old brother.

The lights blending so I close the blinds, lay down next to Sasuke and think about today.

It's not a question that I'd marry someone to save my brother. It's nothing compared to operation C...

Suddenly Y/N crosses my mind. If something happens does that also mean I have to kill her with my clan since she's part of the family then? I have to ask that the next time I meet danzo.

Y/N pov

I open my eyes and everything floods.
I met him. I MET HIM.

He didn't seem like he will be hard to live with considering that last question.
But I do not know him. I cannot just say he's nice. I have to experience it.

Wait- he tucked me in! I didn't even notice.

Suddenly my mom walks into the room.

Tsunade:"Are you alright sweetheart? Feel free to talk to me. I might need it more than you."

She gives me a crooked smile. I can't see her like this. The Uchiha clan was our enemy long ago. I cannot blame her. We hug.

After eating something we head for the office. Jiraiya and hiruzen are already waiting for us. I'm so nervous. If they declined it the village is doomed.

Jiraiya:"Hey! Good morning!"

I admire him for trying to change the mood he's so considerate.

Y/N:"hey..good morning to you too."

Tsunade:"So? Dont keep us on our toes. What's the answer?"

Sarutobi:"They accepted. Under one circumstance...She must be with her soon to be in laws until after the marriage. That means we won't see her."

I think Jiraiya felt Tsunades anger.

Jiraiya:"Hey hey why don't we go get some fresh air and have a talk. Hm?"

And so i walk back to pack alone.
I still can't believe how I was just an adventurer with my mother and Shizune around the world two days ago.

And now? I will probably end up as a stay at home wife. Somehow I will convince them to let me go on missions right? I mean being a shinobi is better than nothing.
