Authors note: I'll make the timeline go by faster. Right now we're at the point where Naruto returns from his training with Jiraiya but it's only been a month or more since we met everyone. I apologize for making it confusing.

Itachi Pov

I go out almost every night to watch Sasuke. Thanks to Y/N I've been able to keep track of their location a lot better. Tonight he is out working on his Chidori.

Not long until he's ready to fight me. Well rather not long until I'm completely blind... I can only detect light blurry but I'm lucky my other senses are making up for my lack of sight.

Making it back to the hq I managed to not be seen by the others. I open the door and get greeted by a sleeping
Y/N. She's so calm. No worries on her mind.

I feel the soft bed underneath me as I sit down. Gently I caress her cheek. Oh how i wish I could be here forever.

I'm so lost in thought I didn't notice her waking up. As her beautiful eyes stare at mine I retract my hand. What's that.. why do I hear her heartbeat being so fast? Is she uncomfortable? I shouldn't be going touching people while they're asleep. What am I? An idiot?

"Hey what's wrong? Why are you just coming back? Were you watching Sasuke train again?"

I stay silent. I had no clue she knew about this...

"Hehe I'll take you being quiet as a yes. Soooo? Is he stronger now? Are you proud?"

I can't help myself but to show a slight smile. She's always so full of happiness. Shaking my head I chuckle.

Itachi:"He's quite talented for his age. Even maybe a genius but I am not proud of his actions."

Y/N gives me a worried look but then continues to smile. She takes my hand and places it between hers. This warmth is my home. For now and in the future in my dreams I assume.

Y/N:"Do you.. do you still mean what you wrote in that letter? Where I was supposed to train Sasuke to become stronger.."

Looks like I can't run away from this question longer.

"I do."

"Is there any way we can come up with another solution? We can tell Sasuke the truth! I'm sure he'll-"

"Y/N.." I say trying to look into her eyes that are now teary. "It's for the best. You need to promise me to never tell Sasuke this. He'll live to hate me all his life. The brother who killed his parents to get stronger. That's who i am."

Y/N:"How Long... until that day?"

I stand up.

Itachi:"Dont worry about that. I'll tell you soon enough."

Lies.

Y/N Pov

It's okay. It's alright. I can change his mind. Right? I'm so selfish but I can't help it. I get attached easily. I get jealous easily. But i cannot forgive people. That's just how I've come to be.

"Why don't you just go to sleep? We can talk about this another time."

Maybe that time will never come.. but I force myself to smile a bit.

Morning

I wake up to a lonely room. After finishing up my morning routine, which basically only consists of brushing my teeth and washing my face, I head into the living room if you can call it that.

A huge room with torches hanging all over. Today it's fairly empty. Only a few members are here. I get sent to keep a watch outside around the place Kisame and Itachi will be fighting the Shinobi also known as Team Kakashi and Gai.

Half or well most of my Chakra is being used on extracting the one tailed. Gosh I couldn't bare the sight of seeing someone being in so much pain. Every once in a while I check up on the others which are holograms. Each one in another place. Each one having a place to stand or sit on.

My conscience is between the fights going on and the sight of that poor boy getting his life energy sucked out.

I only made up and excuse to "watch" these fights in order to give my report on the Akatsuki easier.

After I'm well hidden on a tree I summon my friend. We exchange a nod and she sets off with my scroll.

I've managed to get the Akatsukis trust in the time I was here so I don't believe Zetsu is watching me. But who knows.

I jump a bit nearer Itachi and Team Kakashis fighting grounds. There's an old lady. I assume someone from the
village hidden in the sand.

They're being careful not to look into his Sharingan. Oh.. i didnt know he could put someone in a Genjutsu just with his hand. Poor Naruto. He's so sweet I wish I could take care of him when he was younger. He didn't deserve all that hate as a kid.

I wonder what's going on with Kisame. Gai is supposedly really strong.

"Y/N."

I turn around startled.

"Jiraiya? What are you doing here?"

He takes a seat next to me on the branch.

"Watching Naruto. He has improved a lot."

Nodding I think about what I should say next.

"Is everyone doing well? I barely get any information on anyone when the anbu member collects my scrolls."

He nods but sighs loudly.

"Tsunade's anger issues are over the roof with you gone. Like not even controllable... I CANT EVEN DO MY RESEARCH PROPERLY!"

Pfft- that's so like them. I playfully put my hand around my mouth, cupping it, and whisper.

"~This is your chance. Make your move!~"

Jiraiya looks super serious and nods but then we both burst out laughing.

Y/N:"by the way... I can now legally read your novels. GIVE ME THE NEXT VOLUME RIGHT NOW!"

After a day

Pain:"everyone did a good job yesterday. I hope you all are exited as we are getting closer to our goal each passing day. Unfortunately we lost one member after our extraction yesterday. Sasori... Tobi will take his place. You are all dismissed."

Oh.. i Never got to see his face that everyone talked about. I'm disappointed.

In your room

Itachi:"Why Are you so down today? Don't tell me you actually grew close to the puppet master.."

"Huh? No it's just.. I really wanted to see his looks underneath that puppet shell. I feel scammed somehow."

"Pfft- you really worry about the weirdest things."

He says with a sarcastic tone. I was looking at the ground cus everything was so embarrassing so I didn't see him laughing. Dammit I'm dodging all the handsome faces aren't I?

"Oh! Itachi you did see his face right? Can you show me in a genjutsu?"

"...I did see him without his so called shell but no I cannot show you."

"Hm?? Why's that?! Such a bummer. I'll remember this!" I say faking looking mad.

He just smiles at me lost in thought as if he'll remember this moment longer than I will..

AH SORRY AGAIN I ALWAYS FORGET TO CONTINUE WRITING. btw I won today. FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON AN ITACHI FIGURE!
