Itachi Pov

We ended up getting a room in a guesthouse. Today was so..fun. Living didn't have a reason for me. It was meaningless but somehow I feel alive.

Y/N:"What are you thinking about? I'll make us tea!"

"No you won't."

I go and take the kettle before she burns herself but it ended up falling anyway.

Itachi:"Are you okay?! Did you burn yourself?!!" I rush and take her hands inspecting them.

"Itachi.. I'm fine but-"

Oh. My hands. I didn't even notice.

Y/N:"I'm so sorry.. it's all my fault. I'm sorry.. Let me get cold water or some ice. You shouldn't have hurt yourself because of me. Gosh I'm such an idiot. How do you put up with me?!"

Itachi:"Hey hey calm down it's nothing serious. Is everything alright? You seem to be.. hurt, mentally I mean."

I guess she didn't hear the last part as she went to get bandages and water. Sigh I overreacted. It'll heal. This burn will outlive me. So ironic.

"I'm back. Here."

She took a towel and soaked it in the water and placed it onto my hands.
I watch as she bandages my hands with such care. So concentrated. She cares..

Y/N:"all done! Now promise you won't do anything like that again. I can take care of myself even when I'm what you call drunk. It wasn't even that much."

Itachi:"How should I promise if my pinky is wrapped?" I ask teasingly.

Y/N:"Oh.. You WILL promise as soon as you're healed. I've inserted my chakra into the wounds so they should heal until tomorrow!"

Itachi:"Sigh I thought I could get away with it."

Y/N:"Not with me."

In the morning

It's time to go.. I get up and look at her one last time.

Itachi:"I love you. So much you can't imagine it."

Y/N:"hmm?"

"Nothing just rest up."

I kiss her forehead and get out of the guesthouse after paying.

Y/N Pov

After getting up I Look for the Uchiha that was supposed to be here. Where the hell is he? Maybe he's buying breakfast or something.

I'll just pack up my things and get goi- what's this note?

"I'll be back."

..This is something normal so why am I- so uneasy? Rushing through the room I notice that his stuff is still here everything except for his weapons. No no no...this can't be happening..

I run out in a hurry.

Owner:"Oh you're up! You're friend payed for everything."

This it's true- Where is he?! Where the hell is the fight going to be? Damn you- I hate you so much.. Why didn't you tell me?!

I should've been more careful.. I should've known because he took me out yesterday.

I'm so dumb.

Please please make the fight take longer so I can arrive before it's too late..

A little over an hour later

I've made it to the headquarters.. they must know something. I'm sure of it.
