Clove made the first move by throwing a knife at Aria's face which injured her right cheek. While sensing the burning from her newfound injury, the redhead realized she was in danger. All her senses activated at once. Her eyes search from the thrower.

She turned around and Clove punched her in the face. Clove didn't let Aria a chance to attack and punched her in the stomach, which made Aria fell. She took out a knife and tried to hit her with it, but Aria started roll on the grass.

The career soon caught her and when she was on top of her Aria kicked her with her feet in the abdomen. She took this opening to rapidly smash a knife she found on the grass inside Clove's left arm. She let out a groan of pain, however, recovered faster and hit her on the chest. Aria's breathing seemed to be stop for a moment and received an other hit on the ribs. Aria used her elbow to injured the arm of Clove.

Clove got off of her and the two girls slowly walked in circle.

They didn't know why they were fighting. They could've take their own packages and left without trouble. If one of them was kill at the end, the other one will be free. They will be free of being attached to someone they only knew for less than a month, right? They promised each other that if they were to meet, they wouldn't have pity of any sort of matters toward the other one. So it was the right thing to do, fight?

So they did fight so much that their blood tainted the grass. Everything stopped when Aria fell.

Her new machete stood a few metre away, though she couldn't reach it. With great sadness she received a machete in her bag. She thought her sponsors and mentors would have given her an axe.

She tried to crawl herself to it, however, the career took her left feet and pulled it toward her. She ,then, injured her thigh by putting a knife into it. A scream was hear across the arena. Aria had tears. The thigh had many nerves and blood vessels, when injured a degree of pain could be unbearable to many humans.

The District 8 girl knew what would happened, she was going to die. She couldn't die. She needed to fight for Rue, Jacob, her family, Jonathan, Cecelia, Peeta and Katniss. For everyone that died during the games. Rue asked her to, it was her last wish. They were important people and some of them lost their life because of a stupid game. She needed to stop the Hunger Games to protect the next generations of an unbearable pain. She needed to protect Heidi and Walter to go in here.

The realization of her near death made her understand that all of that will not happen. She will be a number in all the Tributes who died and that's all. She will not break the curse on her family. She will not see her family again and she will never fulfilled her promise because happy end didn't exist in the world they lived in.

Tears were flooding her vision, she was for the first time scared of dying.

Clove was on top of her. One hand held the two wrist of Aria on top of her head while the other had a knife on Aria's neck.

"It's the end for you Eight. I win." Clove said.

"Please, before killing me. Could... Could you give the ribbon I have on my wrist to my family?" Since her hair was too short to braid with it. She attached the ribbon on her good hand so blood wouldn't taint it. Clove was taken aback and confused by her comment.

"Why would I do that?"

"My grandma made it for me. She used all the money she had to buy the tissue. I want her to have it back. Please."

Even at the last moment of her life, she cared about others. She didn't plead for her life, she cared about something her grandmother did for her.

Aria continued to sob while Clove wasn't able to move. She needed to kill her, she needed to honour her district.

"Please do it now, okay? I don't deserve to win. I am a monster. We kill for what? To win? I knew from the start I wouldn't make it. I kill and hurt so many people and I can't take it anymore. I tried my best, but it wasn't enough. I wasn't enough."

At home, the only solution during a conflict was the end of someone's life. Clove tried to persuade herself that if Cato was here he would have kill her, deep down she knew he wouldn't have. He would have tell her to shut up and helped her. He hated killing. He never wanted to become a killer. His family forced him to train and she remembered the day she told him she had been choose for the next games. He tried to make her change her way of thinking about the Hunger Games since day one.

Why am I trying to kill her?

She was perplex. What should I do? I have to kill, it's my duty. I am a freaking Career! I am trained to only kill. Clove loosened her grip from Aria's wrist. The two girl locked eyes.

The frighten features of Aria softened for a second. Clove lead forward for some odd reason. She let go of the knife and approach her palm to Aria's cheek. Their lips were a few inches away before colliding. The breath of Clove was sending shivers to the redhead. A sudden desire toward each other clouded their judgement. Their eyes closed to be met with the feeling they have been scared of letting in since the first time they met.

"What in hell is happening right now?" Enobaria, one of the two District 2 mentors, said while watching the screen.

Clove and Aria were kissing in front of all Panem instead of fighting to live. She never knew about the relationship the two girls created. When did it happen? How could Clove be so reckless? She was becoming weak and people at home won't like it. Showing your love for someone will get you kill.

The door of District 2 mentors's room opened to be reveal by the two District 8 mentors. They were as confused as them.

"If it was a plan from your Tribute, you sure are ignoble." Cecelia said.

"We may want our Tributes to live, honour is still important. It will advantage you more than us so I return the question." Brutus respond. He didn't care about what others would say about them, however, if someone was to insult their district he won't let it go that easily.

The four Victors stared at each other until the door opened and three new faces came in. A sighed was hear from Enobaria.

"Well your Tributes sure did a great show, did they? The kiss, I mean the make out will probably give them sponsors."

"What do you want Finnick? Don't you have a Tribute to help?" Enobaria was getting more annoyed every seconds someone came inside.

"I don't think she needs my help. She made it clear that she wants to win alone, in her own way. Anyway, was this orchestrated the whole time? If yes, that's the most crazy idea I've seen so far."

"We didn't know about their relationship or when it happened and how it occurred?" Jonathan said at last. He was getting more and more confuse about the two girls. He knew nothing good will come from it. Only one will survive and if it's one of them, their heart will be shattered.

"They must know what they are doing though, they somewhat find love in this horror and this won't be a one time thing. I have to admit, they surprised me." Johanna said while looking at them. She sure as hell knew the impact it will create.

"We all know deep down what they are doing. What movement they are building. The word starts with a R and if we want change, they needed to live somewhat. The two need to get out of there." Haymitch, the District 12 mentor, said while sipping from his drink.

"More easy says than done." Enobaria answered while directing herself to the screen.
