Amidst the driving of the taxicab to my place, I couldn't help myself from trembling. I know nothing's supposed to be very scary but it's hard to ignore what that guy's plotting to me. If he became my ghostwriter, I would get the appreciations, not him. But why did he want that deal? As if I'd still take the advantages and not him even if he's blackmailing me. Mas natatakot tuloy ako.
"Miss? Miss!
She's been very, very joyful these past days. And the reason I could theorize was because of my sudden popularity and what they called 'success'.
"Hello, Tita. Nakauwi na ako," I greeted and let her hug me. "Maayos naman po 'yong book signing."
"Mabuti naman, anak! May inihanda akong pananghalian natin!" Instead of placing myself on a seat for lunch, I decided to walk straight to my room. Tita stared at me curiously.
I twitched my lips when I turned around. She's been acting nicer to me when I started gaining praises and credits from the lots, thanks to that novel. And when that began, even my Uncle treated me in a nicely as well. That's what they actually wanted, to make me become someone they could be proud of, for the Estela's attention.
"J-Jasryl---"
"Pasensiya na Tita, may kailangan pa akong puntahan. I said and cut her words from forcing me to eat and take some rest.
I strolled to my room's door and stopped when she called me again. This time, her voice was plain. "Jasryl, okay ka lang ba talaga? Masama ba ang pakiramdam mo? May galit ka ba sa amin?"
Seriously? All I could comment about her reaction was, she's being concious of my every action.
I turned around to fake a smile at her.
Nananghalian na rin pala ako kaya huwag na kayong mag-alala," I replied before entering my room and locking it.
I quickly browsed on my computer to look for the novel I plagiarized.
The mouse I recently held was left with sweats when I let go of it. I quickly leaned on my chair and my lips pursed.
