Dan's POV

I woke up to the sound of mumbling and laughing. I peeled my eyes open to see the barn was empty, but the noises were coming from just outside the barn door.

Soon after, the mumbling and talking stopped, and the doors open. Leah, Rick, and Chris all walked in. "Hey little kitty." Chris smiled, unlocking the cage and opening it. "Rick, tell him what's happening, and what he did." Chris instructed as he began to uncuff me.

Rick began, "Well, for one, the entire city is looking for you, and went want any trouble. So what we're going to do is get you dressed, then leave you here, and we'll travel somewhere far away. Don't worry, they'll find you with in a day or two, so you won't starve... probably. Anyways, also, remember when we took blood from you to conduct an 'experiment'? Well we finished, and you have a son."

My heart stopped, and I could barely pay attention to what they were saying. "I-I what?" I asked. "You. Have. A. Son," Chris said angrily. "Now get out of there and change into these." Chris threw clothes at me, and I crawled out of the cage holding them. As I got dressed a million things and questions raced trough my mind.

How long until they find me? I have a son? Will they take him from me? Who's the mother? I've never had sex with a female so what's going on? How long have I had a son? Is he only half Neko? Will try leave me here with him? Will they leave to travel far away with him? What's his name?

"Now, any questions before we lock you up?" Leah asked, flipping her black hair over her shoulder as she chewed a large thing of bubble gum. I wanted to ask a million, by I kept it short and simple.

"How old is my son and when's his birthday?" I asked, and Chris answered all of my questions. "He's only two or three weeks old, he was born about fifteen days ago." "Will you take him, or leave him with me?" "Leaving him with you." "How did you do make the baby without, you know...?" "Top secret information." "What's his name." "We call him project A, because he was the first to ever make it through the experiment." "Can I see him, please?" "Sure. Rick, go get it."

I was about to jump with excitement, but then I remembered the cons o this. He was only a few weeks old, would he even survive a week without food if that's how long we were supposed to stay?

"Are you leaving food for him?" "Nope, I think he'll make it two or three days without food. It'll be fine."

The barn doors opened again, and Rick stood there, lazily holding what looked like a bag of potatoes wrapped in a baby blue blanket.

"I-Is that him?" I asked happily and fearfully. "Yep. Now take it and get in the cage." Chris instructed.

I got in the cage, and Rick handed him to me. I held him close and Chris locked the cage, not cuffing me in. "So long, have fun and don't die." Leah cheered sarcastically.

They left, and I had hoped, that was the last time I ever saw them.

Then, I looked in the blanket, and saw his face. His head was round and he had slightly tan skin with giant blue eyes. His hair was light brown, and he had super light gray ears with white stripes like cats. His tail was short, like most Nekos when they're first born, and was gray with white stripes, but the tip of his tail was white. He was only wearing a diaper, and it seemed as though the blanket was the only thing keeping him warm.

"H-Hi." I smiled, feeling my eyes weld up with happiness. He laughed, and looked up at me as he sucked on his fingers. "You're very cute." I complimented, and he laughed slightly, giving me a small smile. "What will I name you?" I thought aloud.

For about a minute straight I thought of a name until I decided on the perfect one for a Neko like him.

"How about Hiro?" I asked. He laughed, and attempted to clap his hands together, failing each time. "Hiro it is." I smiled, then kissed his forehead.
