A/N: PLZ READ THIS PART ITS IMPORTANT TO CURRENT READERS. I wanted put this bit at the beginning so no feels were ruined at the end f this because of my rambling. I just wanted to say how scared I am to let this book go and live on its own. Its crazy how far we've all come from. I can not express how much fun I've had making this books, even through all of the ups and downs. Also, before you read this, go check out the very very first thing in the very first chapter of this story (just above Phil's POV) and then come back here; I added something. Thank you so much and to say I love you guys is an understatement of an understatement. I hope you enjoy ❤️

Phil's POV

Dan and I got dressed after a quick dinner, and were finally ready to head out. PJ had already come over thirty minutes before we left, and I knew that Hiro would be in good hands. PJ was practically an expert when it came to babies and children. Dan didn't want to leave Hiro behind, by I eventually convinced him that it would be alright.

We got in my car and drove to a forest I used to live near. The ride was only fifteen minutes or so long; it wasn't too far.

"What are we doing here?" Dan asked, getting out of the car once I parked on the side of the dirt road. There was a narrow path going directly down the center of the forest, looking like it was endless from where we stood. His ears were bent forward and his tail was wrapped around his waist. "Don't be nervous. I've gotcha." I held his hand protectively as we started making our way down the dirt road.

I swung our hands back and fourth as we walked down the path side by side. "It's beautiful out here." Dan whispered through the silence. "Yeah. This was where I'd go on all of my adventures when I was little." I replied, looking down through the dimly lit forest, "But this has got to be the best adventure yet; an adventure with you by my side." And he blushed after I said that to him.

Soon, up a head, I could just barely see the brown tree house sticking out from the green leaves atop one of the largest and tallest trees in the forest. It honestly was just a wooden box in a tree with a rope and ladder handing down. Nothing too special to anyone else but me.

"There!" I exclaimed, and ran straight forward. Dan was behind me and laughed as we jogged down the path, barely kicking up any dirt as we raced.

When we got there, I went up the rope and ladder first. "Are you sure it's safe?" Dan called once I was inside. "Its safe. after all I was the one who made it." I smiled before he climbed up too, shaking his head and quietly giggling.

"So this is yours?" Dan said in amazement once he was inside with me. We both had to duck down since we were just over six feet tall, and the treehouse wasn't too big. "Yeah. I made it myself when I was thirteen." I looked around, and saw the other ladder on the wall. "Here, this one goes to the roof." I said, climbing up.

When I got up, Dan followed me and gasped once he was off of the ladder. We were up amazingly high, and were in the dead center of the forest, in the tallest tree, looking over everything.

"I feel like the king of the world." Dan breathed slowly. "You're the king of my world." I smiled. "Shut up!" He playfully punched my arm, and sat beside me at the edge of the roof, criss crossed.

My feet dangled off of the tree, and we were both facing were the sun was going to set. It was nice and cool out and there was only a slight breeze blowing the hair out of our faces.

"Dan?" I asked, intertwining my hand with his as he rested his head on my shoulder. "What?" He asked, looking at the sun. "Are you happy with life?" "Of course. I have you, a baby, a home. What else do I need?" "I just wanted to know. I want to make you as happy as possible." "Phil, your existence alone makes me happy enough. You loving me makes me even happier." "I think we've had the best adventure together that anyone could ever ask for." "But it's still not over." "I know, that's the best part. Because maybe it's not about the ending, but the story." "I think that's a good way to think about life." He concluded.

"Dan. I want you to know that I really do love you. There will be more ups and more downs along the road, but no matter what I need you to know that I'm here for you." "I know. And I love you too."

I carefully stood up, and pulled Dan up with me. I cupped his face in my hands and slowly pulled him closer. "You're beautiful. Have I ever told you that?" I asked. "No, you haven't. But you've always made me feel that. Well actually it's more like..." He pause to think for a moment before continuing, "I hate when people say, "you can't love someone unless you love yourself." That's bullshit. I have never loved myself. But you? Oh, god. I love you so much I forgot what hating myself felt like." I took a second to let his words sink in. "Dan, I don't think you realize how much that means to me." "I know how much it means, trust me I do. Because you have no idea how much you mean to me."

I shook my head, smiling. I was still cupping his face, and I leaned in and whispered, "I can't even begin to explain how much I love you."

He leaned closer, smirking, "Then show me."

I closed the gap between our lips and we both melted as all of our worries washed away with the sun setting as the earth turned and a new chapter turned with it. A bigger and better chapter. One I hope to spend with Dan until the end of time.

I love him, and he loves me right back.
