Chris's POV

Leah, Rick, and I all jumped into our black mini van we used for work, and sped off, hearing police sirens in the distance as we left the farm.

We drove in a comfortable silence go nearly an hour until Leah spoke up. "Does Phil even know what you did to him last year?" She asked. I shook my head, "No, but, since we were such close friends," I paused, remembering when Phil and I used to be close, until our stupid job got in the way.

"He told me that he thought something had bitten him, ya know, down... there, and he went to a doctor. He told me when he came back his Doc said it looked like stitching glue, and Phil was confused. He was supposed to go back and see what really had happened, but then forgot. After a while, I guess, the memory just seemed to fade.

"I did drug him even more while he was asleep that night, so I knew I wouldn't get caught, anyways." "He's an idiot." I heard Rick huff in the back of the truck seat. My knuckles instantly turned white with anger, but I didn't say anything back to defend Phil. That'd be a dead give away.

"So, does Dan know?" I asked, asking no one in particular. "Hell yeah, he knows." Leah laughed. "Was he hurt?" I smirked at the idea of pain and horror plastered onto his ugly-ass face. "Yeah, it's was hilarious. I held him down while Leah did the dirty work." Rick informed. "Good. Dan's OK and all, but he needs to learn his place; needs to know he's at the bottom, under all of us." "Stupid Nekos." Leah scoffed, smirking, and Rick nodded, before she turned her head towards the car window.

We only had about a day or two to get all the way back to America, and back to our bosses, John and Will. At this rate, we'll get there in time, but we'll have to come back. We're gonna need Dan and Phil again for experiment B.

Phil's POV

My eyes bolted open as I woke up, and I instantly remembered Dan and Hiro. I could barely even sleep the night prior, and was wondering about Hiro's other parent all night, and if Dan even was one of his parents.

I got dressed and ready as quick as humanly possible, and then ran out the door to get to my, ever so loved, job.

I got to the center at six a.m. and ran straight to Dan's room. Once I was stood in front of the door, I stood silent, and didn't hear anything besides his light snores.

I opened the door ever so slowly, and peeked inside. Dan was asleep, curled under the blanket, and almost all of him was buried in it.

I smiled, and closed the door as I left. I've never been to the center this early, as the only ones who are awake during this hour are the eldest Nekos.

So, I went around and fed the oldest Nekos until about six thirty. I went back to Dan's room, and he was still asleep.

I gave up, and decided to check the nursery room that Hiro was in. When I opened the door, Miko was still asleep, but Hiro and Anya were wide awake. "Hi little ones." I smiled, whispering to not wake up Mika.

I got Anya a bottle of milk and handed to her, since her arms were strong enough to lift the bottle by herself, and gently lifted Hiro from his crib.

I sat on the chair like Dan did before, and fed Hiro milk and formula. Once he was finished, I cleaned both of the, now empty, bottles. I proceeded to change their diapers, besides Miko, because it would have obviously woken him.

I went back to check on Dan, and it was about seven o' clock by then. I opened the door slowly, and Dan was stirring in his sleep, a pained expression concreted onto his face.

"Dan?!" I yelled in a whisper tone, and rushed over to him. I shook him gently until his eyes shot open, and he relaxed, but only slightly.

He, then, quickly looked up at me with fear, but then gave a small smile. Before I could say anything, he quickly sat up and wrapped his arms around me. "Oof. Haha, hi there, my little kitten. Good morning." I laughed, and kissed his forehead as I hugged him back.

We pulled a part and I asked him, "Were you having a nightmare?" "Y-Yeah." he said quietly, looking anywhere but at me as his smile faded. "What was it about? My mum used to say that if you tell someone your dream, you'll never dream it again." I said with a goofy grin. "It was nothing." he looked down and to the side ever so slightly.

As I stood over him, just barely, and he sat up slightly, with the blanket still covering his legs, I guided him to look at me using my two first fingers. "Hey," I said, looking right into his caramel brown eyes. "It's ok. You can tell me anything."

He stared at me as I continued to stay in that position until he slowly moved forward. Our lips slowly and gracefully connected until they were dancing with each other like ballerinas performing.

Once we finally pulled apart, I opened my eyes, and still kept my fingers under his chin. "It was just a nightmare. It was something that happened a long time ago. I don't wanna talk about it." Dan said, trying to look away. I gently nudged him back until he was looking at me again.

His eyes were small and innocent, brown and beautiful. They weren't just brown, but a lighter tint without being light at all. They weren't bright either, rather, they just popped out at you like magic. He looked so scared and he held so many secrets. One day, I was going know all of them. I'm sure of it.

"That's ok, you don't have to for now. Let's go get Hiro, yeah?" I smiled, slowly pulling away. He nodded happily, and hopped off of his bed.

We made our way to the nursery to take the blood test, and oh god were we in for a surprise.
