Dan's POV

"Chris will hit me again if I say I want you." I whispered. Phil's jaw dropped open, and his eyes went wide. He looked over to Chris, infuriated.

I stepped back from the both of them, and I pulled my ears forward against my head, and my tail tightly around my waist and hip in front of me.

"Chris, I..." Phil said, sounding more disappointed and angry than ever. "What did you say, Dan?" Chris asked, curious, but I could feel the energy coming of of him meaning he wanted to hit me. I tried to start, extremely quietly, "I said..." I couldn't continue, so I backed up into the wall, and essentially cornered myself in the corner of the room.

"Dan, it's ok. He can't hurt you anymore. I'm right here." Phil tried to comfort me, but fear had wrapped an extremely tight blindfold around my eyes, blinding me from common sense. "No you can't. He's strong, stronger than Leah and Rick combined. He's right there and can hit me whenever he likes." I squeaked. I made myself smaller, and squeezed into the wall, to get away from Chris, and I saw his eyes began to fill with lust, and he smirked.

"Phil." I squeaked in fear again, scared for my life. "Chris, get out." Phil said threateningly. "Fine." Chris replied, and walked out, slamming the door behind him.

"Oh my god, kitten." Phil said softy, and gently wrapped his arms around my tiny body. "Phil... I'm so sorry." I admitted. "No, please, don't ever be sorry for something you didn't do. Chris is the one who should be sorry as hell." Phil cooed, but I flinched back when he mildly cursed. He laid his head on mine and rubbed large circles in my back, "Sorry I cursed." "It's ok." I smiled, nuzzling myself into his chest.

He gently lifted my chin and before I knew it, he slammed his lips into mine. I gasped, but then smiled and kissed back, keeping in a small purr of joy.

"I need to call up PJ. There is gonna be some serious crap going down within this next week or two, I think." Phil stated as we pulled away. "Just please, don't let him in. I can't handle another smack or punch." I said, putting my hands together I front of me, wagging my tail behind me in the cutest manner I could manage. He laughed, "I won't. Come on, let's go to the waiting room." He took me by the hand, and we made our way outside.

I shook nervously, seeing the different rooms as doors everywhere. I just had a feeling that Chris would pop out at any minute and punch my across the face...as usual. None the less Phil dragged me through the hallway, holding my hand protectively the entire time.

"Here. Just take a seat, I'm gonna call PJ." Phil kissed my forehead, and I sat down in one of the, strangely comfortable, wooden and cushioned chairs.

Phil pulled out his phone, dialed a number, and talked for a little while, but I bent my ears down against my head so I couldn't hear.

I knew they were talking about me, and I hated that. Something about the fact that somebody would want to waste even a breath on my jut flew over my head. I guess I just never feel worthy of anything... with an exception. Phil. I don't know why but he always found a way to make me feel worth it. Like I was special.

After another minute or two, Phil finally hung up and smiled at me. I unplugged my ears, and tilted my head to the side. "Well?" I asked, curious. "Well, there's ok news and good news." "Ok news first." I demanded in a smiling way to a child. "Well, Peej said we have to fire Chris tomorrow. I think he left anyways, his car's gone so even if we wanted to do it today we couldn't." he stated. I was happy is never see him again, but knew Phil would be sad, so I just kept it in and stayed quiet. "Good news?" I asked, changing subject. "You get to stay the night at my house!" He cheered, lifting and opening his arms. "Yay!" I cheered, and ran into Phil. "Oof." he groaned before laughing, and hugging back.

Before I could stop myself I blurred out, "I love you." My eyes went wide, and I let go of Phil. "Y-You love me?" Phil asked, and I couldn't tell if he was angry or happy; he seemed blank. I looked down, grabbed my tail and fiddled with it, and nodded slowly. "Well guess what?" Phil stepped closer, and gently cupped my face. "W-What?" I asked nervously. "I love you too." He said quietly, and pressed our lips together.

A/N: Again, I'm sorry this was so short, but don't worry, there's loads of stuff still coming.
