Second Period

You walk to your second period English class smiling and on a mission to make sure you don't get stuck sitting with Steve Harrington.

You don't have a problem with Steve you never have but since he's dating Nancy Wheeler... again he changed... again. Steve was different when he's with Nancy he's mr. Popular again, mr. Party guy who has parties every weekend since his parents are always gone.

I know it hurts him that his parents are always gone and that's why he always parties but only Robin and I know that thanks to the Russians last summer making us take the truth drug. That drug tbh made us admit to secrets, Steve also admitted to having a crush on Robin and wanting to ask her out but she admitted to liking girls and I think it broke Steve's heart.

He got over it tho I think they are better off as friends well more like brother/sister. They act that way anyways. I almost admitted to liking Billy and Steve on that drug but as I was gonna admit it Robin puked.

Thank you Robin was what I thought then and I still think that now.

As the second bell rang everyone who wasn't already in Mr. Carter's English class came rushing in. I watch as everyone came in praying someone will sit in the back with me but as everyone got a sit and I was sitting by myself. That was until Steve walked in and came walking to my table. "Fuck" I thought as he sat down.

"Hey Y/n! You coming to my party Friday right?" Steve asked. You look at him annoyed since it's been months since he talked to you and the only thing he wants to talk to you about is his party Friday.

"I'll think about it Steve. You know I hate partying and your parties always involve me being alone while you and Nancy go have fun upstairs." You said. Not wanting to talk to Steve anymore you start doodling in your notebook.

"Oh come on Y/n that was one time and I promise I won't leave you by yourself plus I'm pretty sure Robin and Billy will be there. So you won't be alone." He says with a smile hoping you'll say yes.

You stop doodling and shake your head. "Harrington why does it matter if I go to your party? We haven't talked in months and we don't hang out anymore" not after Starcourt burned down you thought but didn't say.

You finally look at Steve and answer "if Robin or Billy asks me to go I might go not for you but for them." You wanted to say more but didn't. You wanted to be friends again with Steve but you thought you shouldn't be the only one trying.

The bell rings to leave second period and you couldn't be any happier! As everyone starts walking towards the door Steve calls out to you
                 "See you Friday Henderson!"
