There was a bright purple light piercing her pupils and causing them to burn. She closed them again, tightly, hearing a door open. She peeled the lids back open again instantly regretting it.
"You're awake, finally." The man sighed, almost sounding like he cared, but she knew better than that. He hovered over her now too close for comfort, and his cold breath touched her face, causing goosebumps to rise on her skin.
It was cold. She had the urge to encase her arms around herself, but her arms and legs were bound and strapped to the bed.
The room was the same one as before. Full of tubes, human parts, Oculos parts, purple tech, etc. It gave her chills. She bit her lip and tried so hard not to cry out. What was going to happen to her?
She pictured Blade's face, and it helped her calm down.
"Oh, my little girl. You're in the best of hands. These scientists, doctors, you see here in this room are going to take good care of you as long as you don't resist again."
"N-no, I don't care. I hate you!" She screamed, banging her head back hard.
"Well, then it's going to be like this, is it?" He sighed, shaking his head in complete disappointment. "Give it to her, please."
Then there was a needle going into her arm. She slowly drifted to sleep again.
She saw glimpses of what occurred before in a dream. It was like deja vu. There she was strapped to a bed. The two Oculos in the background conversing.
"Do you know what she is?"
"No, isn't she just a human girl?"
A purple light flashed on beaming down on her, brightly. The room was suddenly dark and freezing.
This happened in a dream. Or was it a vision?
She had the same metal pieces hooked to her head and wired to a machine. The room is the same, futuristic tech is scattered around the room.
And it plays all over again. The prisoner boy getting his arms torn off, shredded, broken bone snapping in half, the Oculos's acid seeping out. The boy howled in pain. The First lurking in the dark corner. The mockery from him saying Lily is special, she can understand the Oculos.
"No, this is a fucking dream! Get out of my head!" The same words she repeated. It felt weird saying it again. But she wanted it to be a dream.
"Just wait, you'll see."
...
But it wasn't a dream. As she recalls this same dream she had back on earth. It haunted her. But now knowing it was real. The boy died, and she couldn't do a thing.
Why couldn't she fight back? She didn't feel the surge of energy like before. How does she transform?
"I know what you're thinking, Lily. You can't turn when you have the anti-Oculos medicine running through your bloodstream. Don't worry it's only temporary. I couldn't have you fighting back again, now could I?"
David was back in the room watching her.
"I-I don't understand what's going on. This already happened." She blurted, hoping she didn't say too much.
"Hm..interesting you had a vision. I assume. You're astoundingly gifted."
"No, it's a curse!" She cried at him, wishing she could hit him with her fists. Her gown was short and consisted of thin layering. It didn't provide much warmth, and laying down on the hard bed wasn't much comforting either. Nor was being tied down, and injected with foreign objects.
"Get to the tests now," David told the doctors, ignoring her outbursts, and walking off.
"You'll pay for this!" She screamed until she couldn't anymore and her throat became dry and ragged.
"Blade, please hurry." She muttered under her breath. "How stupid am I?" She winced as an IV was put in her arm, and the doctors were injecting more needles into her.
