She knew the Oculos were stone-cold, but not to this extent. They do it all for honor, for the first? Who was this 'first' anyways?

As she walked the halls passed cells full of humans, labs containing parts, scientists, and Oculos. She pushed her legs to move, taking each step on the ground, biting at her lip as she'd try and avert her eyes from the poor human prisoners. Their eyes shot dread down her spine and guilt. Her heart tore open at the dead look in some, and others the fresh look of terror like it was their first day of torment.

She froze on the spot catching a small girl's eyes. She appeared to only be twelve. She was wearing a white dirty shirt, that touched her knees. The rest of the adult prisoners were mostly naked, their canvases covered in bruises and dried blood; some of the blood was fresh. She winced at the horrific scene. The prisoners marched down the corridors, and entered a long dark hallway, she'd guessed led down to their torture chambers: prison cells.

It was the most inhumane thing she'd ever seen in her full 21 years of life. She knew then that she had to put a stop to it all.

But she couldn't risk acting rashly. She needed to somehow get info, maybe if David trusted her enough. He'd let her in on the plan.

"Let me see my father."

"If you insist."

*Back on earth*

"It's sweet," Andy remarked simply flopping on the sofa and dangling her legs over Angelica's lap. "I mean, it's good." She said, munching down on the cookies Angelica homemade.

"Thanks," Angelica says while pushing her legs off and scooting out of her reach. "Don't laze around, and put your feet on me."

"I'm sorry I'm tired." They got back from the old mansion and now they're supposed to be packing for 'the ride of their lives as Blade put it himself.

"Well, get packing!"Cherry walked up behind her and smacked her head. "Come on, hurry it up."

"Okay, jeez." Andy stood up raking the cookie crumbs off her shorts, and gray tank top.

Nixon was in his room. He took out a couple of shirts, shorts, briefs, and socks, and he resisted packing his entire bookshelf. And he instead placed a toothbrush in there with toothpaste and other hygiene products. That should be it.

He was heading out when a head full of brown short hair popped in the doorway. "Hey, Nix!" She beamed. Her attire consisted of black shorts, and a gray tank top hugging her fit body. He could tell she didn't slack on her routine workouts.

Authors note Thanks for the cute idea of the nickname Nix for Nixon! @HeatherSanders783

"Uh, hi, Andy. What's with the nickname?" He asked, masking his beet red face with his sweaty palms. He noticed that she was no longer taller than him. Did he grow in the time they met and trained and fought Oculos? It has been nearly two years. He was now the same height as her now. Which would make him 5'7

"Hm, it just came to mind. It's cute, right? It matches you!" She explained as she closed the door behind her and came closer and laid down on his bed.

"Uh, you should ask before giving ridiculous nicknames to people."

"Alright, can I call you Nix, please?" She pleaded, clasping her hands together and giving him a pouty poor-me-face.

"Fine." He agreed, knowing better than to tell Andy no. She was too stubborn.

"So, anything else?" He raised an eyebrow in her direction.

"Hm, well, just that if we die I want you to know that I'll always remember you." She laughed lightly.

"thump" His heart was pounding fast, and he felt heat rise into his face. He was speechless. What did she mean by this?
